I don't know why but I can't make a new thread in the politics or Redskins forums. Maybe I said something somebody didn't like or maybe this is an error, I'm really not sure. I didn't see this in any of the first 60 topics under the help section.

Check the threads about the new membership alignment. I think it might apply to you, but I'm not sure.

I just found it ironic that someone posted a thread about not being able to post a thread.... at least until i read that it was only in certain forums.

I know, but maybe that will encourage you to pop in and just type "Happy Brithday" or "Congrats on x number of posts" more often.... Not that advocate padding... :D
Either way, hopefully the time passes quickly.

Good thing I read this becuase I never knew about the signature part. After spending an hour making my sig now it will have to be deleted.

No they decided to let you customize your sig. Don't worry.

Customize Signatures: We have agreed to allow Rookies to Customize their signature with TEXT only. Upon reaching Veteran Status, full privileges will be granted.
Actually it states that all rookies can only customize sigs with writing; no pictures are allowed.

Yes!!! I read the newest post and I do see where it says I can have a signature. Thanks for making that decision and keep up the good work with controlling everything! :Partyred:

If we controlled everything, your posts would be moderated. :)

Is there a side-effect to the update that I can't search for threads or search for posts made by specific members anymore? Or am I just a fool who forgot how I used to do it?

OK, i can't post threads at all. Not even in the help forums... I dunno if it had to do with me forgetting that there are forums for multiple subjects here (sorry lol) or if i just made some of the hireups mad. But please explain this to me. I already read the rules and i understand them, so please try not to send me that link unless it really is where i need to be going.

If you read the guidelines like you mentioned above, you'd notice that we implemented changes awhile back. Members with less than 350 posts cannot create threads. When they get to 351, they will be able to create threads. This was implemented because the amount of spamming that was going on - on this board. If you want a thread created for a topic that doesn't exist, you can email a mod/admin and they will create it for you.

X-Factor58, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
That's the message i got when i tried to start a thread in the help forums here.

Read the new rules...sound fair...I'm only starting out here so it will be awhile before I can start a thread. Does the no post rule also apply to private posts???

You can also request that threads be created if the topic doesn't exist. Just Pm a mod or admin or anyone else that can create them.
