Thought I'd start a post that would inform you of some of the new features.

Smilies
The software came with a basic set of smilies. So I have upload some new ones for your use. If you have others you'd like me to add, just email me.

Avatars
You can now choose your own avatar. You can actually upload it from your PC. Remember to be wise when uploading avatars. We don't want really big pics there. We have put a size limit on them. I will also be monitory our server space due to this new function.

Time Zone
You can now control your own time zone. The forum is set at GMT -5 Eastern US. You can use your user control panel to taylor the time zone to your needs. Click the CP User button then click Edit Options. You can change the time zone in the Date and Time settings.

Thread Subscriptions
You can subscribe to threads that you keep track of in the User Control Panel (CP User button)

Forum Subscriptions
You can also subscribe to forums as well via the User Control Panel.

Birthdays
If you enter your birthday in your profile, it will be displayed on the calendar and the initial page of the forum

Buddy/Ignore List
You can also maintain a Buddy List via the User Control Panel. It will let you know if your buddies are online. You can also maintain a list of members to ignore but why would you want to do that. :doh:

One of the new features I really like with vBulletin you will find on the upper left corner of the threads. "Go to first unread post." This saves you a lot of time by not having to scroll down to find the last post you have read.

Is there a way to make the text larger?
Some of the text (the stuff not in the posts) is hard to read.

And yeah, I'm wearing my glasses:cool:

Give us some ideas what your talking about AGG. I don't think any of the other text can resized due to size of the board itself. But, then again what do I know.....Sounds like a question for H2S...

I don't know if it will answer your question but if you have mouse with a scroll button you can hit the CRTL key while scrolling and it will Zoom Dezoom the text in Internet Explorer.

Hey Seebs this worked!

It was the stuff under our avatars that I couldn't read. Where everyone was from, the post totals etc.

We just added a mod which allows you to see who has visited the board in the last 24 hours. It is on the main page of the board

Per CarMike's request, we have implemented a quick reply mod to the forum. You'll see a reply box at the bottom of the thread. You can type your reply in there instead of having to click "post reply".

Mike, you are the man. Thank you very much.

Posters, I hope you like this new feature. I've seen this mod at other boards and it comes in handy. The only downside with it is that if you want to add smilies, quote someone, or add one of the other features, you'll have to click on "post reply" button. But, if you don't want to do all of that, just type your message and hit submit reply and you're finished.

However, if you know the commands for the smilies, you can use them in the quick reply box. The smilie commands are listed with the smilies. They are words between colons. For example :something:

Here is the Dallas Sucks smilie :dalassuk: using the quick reply.

There's nothing wrong with what you said. I was just letting you know that we try to satisfy request we get from users. That's all that meant.

Lady, there is place already set up for that. Go to usercp, then to edit options. Somewhere on that page you'll see the box that you click on to notify you when you have been sent a PM. It'll ask if you want a email sent to you and also if you want a popup box when you log in.

I hope this will help you out.

Taken care of. When you receive a PM from here on, you shoudl get a pop up alert.
