Good, I didn't want to sign him anyway.

I would have liked him, but he'll just have to watch Moss streak by him on the way to the end zone now. Later R-Dub.

I'll laugh when Santana & Taylor start completely burning him for touchdowns.

Still, would have been nice ot get somebody that Gibbs and Williams seemed to like so much.

News like this should be in the NFL forum anyway. McQuarters is not a Redskin and never was. It is not Redskins related.

Thanks.

I heard they didn't like him as much when he rolled up with a two man entourage though. They probably made one low bid and said take it or leave it.

Good, didn't want him anyway. Springs, Harris, Rogers, Wilds and are I say Jimoh are fine with me. I like the idea of Jimoh contnuing to improve and contribute more on the D in addition to his good ST play.

We have a good enough set as it is, no need to add an unproven 1st rounder.

Can't say that I didn't want him, but it's not a huge loss.

I understand what most everyone is feeling when they say "Good" in response to this news. For me, "Good" would be him signing a contract for, like, The Underground Football League of Bolivia. The more apathetic response of "Eh" would apply to signing to an AFC team or a non-NFC East team. But ANYTIME someone signs to a team in our division, a la THE TRAITOR (read: Antonio Pierce), it is not "Good" news.

I kind of wanted Mcquarters, for dime situations and spcial teams. But you are dead on, its not "good" that he signed with the G-wimps. In fact I think that may hurt us at some point.

How did they miss on this? Goes from agreeing with the Jints to signing with the Lions? Jints must be pretty PO'd if the original report was true, that they had an agreement in prinicple.

If you read the first link...it actually states the McQuarters signed with the Lions....not the Giants.

The Search for a Punt Returner Continues

The Giants' search for a punt returner continues as R.W. McQuarters, who had reportedly been high on the team's wish list, reportedly signed a one-year contract with Detroit.

I think that he could have been little help with a DB squad that has already took a hit by losing Fred Smoot.

I agree but I think our corners will be fine though. Garnell Wilds deserves a real chance.

We are set at Cb. I would rather see GW and his staff spent the time with Rodgers instead of a cast off from another team.

LOL - this thread proves that few people actually READ the article being discussed.

I also think that we are pretty much set at CB, but for some reason we are constantly looking at other CBs. Take it for what it's worth, but I saw in the rumors section of foxsports site, that we are one of 3 teams interested in signing Law. I don't see this happening, but you can never tell.[URL=http://msn.foxsports.com/name/FS/rumors]

You can never have too much depth at corners and Gibbs is looking to bolster the special teams in any way possible. I have no doubt McQuarters would have helped there but our special teams still will be good.
