Currently I have four:

Celtic Cross [left shoulder]
Celtic knot band w/ claddagh [right arm]
Scorpion [left ankle]
and...

The Washington Redskins [right ankle]

So what do you guys and gals have inked?

Right bicep- Marvin the Martian with "BIG" on top and "KENNY" on the bottom

Left bicep- a cobra (my first tat. I loved my Mustang Cobra that much!!:D )

Right calf- a big picture of the sun with Jamir on top and 11-21-02 on the bottom

Left calf- a big picture of the earth with Rajaun on top and 7-10-98 on the bottom.

The legs are obvious tributes to my two boys. I don't plan on fathering anymore children for what it's worth....

I hope you don't father anymore children. I'd hate to hear what else you got tattooed. :D

I have one. A baseball player on my right calf. I've had that since back in '88. Senior year in high school. All of the guys had it done.

Never got one... not my style. But I have always liked to see them on other people. Got to hang with some tat guys in So Cali for a while... went to conventions... stuff like that... those guys were great!

Not my stuff, but it seems that it is more an anglo-saxon thing than a latin thing.

I have no tattoos and will probably never get one, but that Marvin Martian one doesn't sound bad. I'm afraid, though, that I'd always be looking at it and laughing--the way I do with Kenny's avatar. I've always loved Marvin the Martian.

I'll be honest...I HATE NEEDLES.

So the thought of 16 of them pricking me 1,000s of times doesn't make me rush out to my local tat parlor.

However, I like the concept of tatoos. If I could go under anesthisia (sp) I'd do it...

The one on my arm is actually a profile view with him holding his ray gun.:)

I'll probably get one sooner or later. Not sure what it'll be, though. I've been toying with the thought of some sort of Oriental symbol on my arm or back, but I'm not sure which symbol it'd be.

This is my thoughts as well.

I've seen too many people get stupid tattoos in their life...especially girlfriends, or wives that have since divorced them.
I've seen the old men in the nursing homes with their faded droopy tattoos and they look silly. So I'd rather not deface my body with someone's handy work. But that's just me.
As a Christian, the bible is not specific on the idea, but does discourage it on certain levels, so that's another reason I stay away from it.
Of all the things to mark on your body, I think the ones that have memorials to the dead or tributes to your kids or something are the best ones.

See, now that's even funnier! I have got to get a look at that thing at the tailgate party, Kenny.

Never had one, never will. No problem with them, in fact I like the looks of many of them. It isn' t me i don't think one would look good on me, however, they are for some people.

As for woman, i love seeing them on the ankle.

Now jewelry is a little different, got an earring in the left ear when I was in college. Haven't worn it since. My wife has a nice small ring in her nose and one in he rbelly button. I think they are pretty sexy.

JSARNO----not sure where your going with the Christ thing. Not sure where in the bible, especially the New Testament that you woudl be referring to.

I'm just the opposite. Never wanted a ear ring.

This question is for anyone else here who does have a tattoo. Do you find it addictive to get a tattoo? I have. I've talked to several guys who have multiple tattoos. And they all have said that once you get one, you'll want another. Its true. I still want another one. May go with somekind of Redskins tribute....

I actually have 3 piercings in my ear...two in the left and one in the right. I grew out of them about 4 years ago though.

1 cor. chapter 6, vs 19 talks about desecrating the body, and it is to be used as a temple etc. Like I said, it's not that it actually comes out and blasts tattoos but all around in that area would definitely frown upon it.
To me...to each his own!

Would not the three ear rings be desacration of the body. I can not see how tatoo, unless it is Satan or foreign Gods would be desacration, i would think that would be art.

Couldn't afford them when I was younger and now that I'm older I stay away because of my religion. (I understand it the same way as jsarno does.)

But, I can appreciate art in all (er...most) of it's forms and I think that there are some tatoos that are simply beautiful...

Seeway, as for your Celtic Cross, are you Irish or Scottish?

No...earrings were an acceptable reality in Jesus days. Besides, they have closed up over the years, thus they are reversable...only lasars can reverse a tattoo, and it can't bring it back the way it was. Being a Christian, I just don't take that chance.
I'm not saying they are wrong biblically or anything...it's not specific, I'm just saying it's wrong for me. And it is "possible" it is unbiblical and I'm not willing to take that chance. That's all.
Again...to each his own.

AGG, I'm of Irish descent. I've done a lot of research on my family/clan history in Ireland. Any additional tattoo I get will be related to that. Maybe Family Crest or knot work.

CarMike, I agree. Tattoo's are very addictive. After my first, the artist said I would get more and I didnt think so. Now I have four, and will probably get another soon.

JoeDaSchmoe, be VERY, VERY careful with selecting an "Oriental symbol". A buddy of mine in the NAV is a linguist, he speaks Japanese and Korean. We have met many people that talk about their "new" tattoo that means "strong-warrior" or some other masculine phrase only to find out it doesnt. I suggest doing research on the net or better yet in a library first.

PSF, I really dig the female tat's on the small of their back.

My second tat, the Redskins emblem was done free-hand, straight from the back of my old "Starter" jacket.

Haven't had a permanent tatoo only a couple of henna's. I have nothing against them and I'm toying with the idea of getting one. Probably a band around the arm of sort.

That light saber gif is freaking hilarious. I just spent about three minutes watching it. One one hand, I'm sorry I'll never get those three minutes back. On the other hand, it is pretty damn funny.
