Campbell (http://nflplayers.com/players_network/players_network.aspx?ID=37239&strSection=journal)
Being in the NFL is a big change from college. You change from a boy to a man. You go from staying in an apartments, visiting friends apartments, to owning a house. Your whole living style changes because you have to be more responsible, you have to pay your own bills, and you have to depend on yourself mroe.
Rogers (http://nflplayers.com/players_network/players_network.aspx?ID=37208&strSection=journal)
I just had my ankle checked out and its feeling pretty good, so everything is going really good so far. I'm learning new defensive plays and studying books. I study films with the coach, but I also have to go home and hit the books and study on my own. I just want to get in wherever I can help the team. It would be nice to start, but I have to focus on whatever I will be needed for and getting better.

i have to say, i think we really hit the nail on the head with these 2 picks. i hope Ben Nowland can be the backup for Rabach so we can get rid of Friedman and Raymer.
It's really good to have my former Auburn teammates, Jason Campbell and Ben Nowland, here in Washington wit me. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable. I'm coming to this foreign place I know nothing about, but I have them so we are jsut bringing Auburn out here to Washington.

Now if Campbell starts writing something like this:
8/13/05: Man do I hate Patrick Ramsey.
9/23/05: Patrick Ramsey works for Satan.
11/15/05: I'm going to kill Patrick Ramsey
That would be news!

12/1/05: We know Patrick knows. We must kill him now before he can tell anyone. We must be the starting QB.

06/23/2005: Pat Ramsey was holding a clip board today looking at plays and he looked good. He has a strong wrist and a quick pen hand.

Sigh...Jason Gollumbell...
News reports would read:
Like the typical rookie, Jason seems like two different players at times. He flashes of brilliance and tenacity, but sometimes he looks timid and lost.
His teamates seem to like him, but they are concerned about how he refers to himself as we and refuses to eat at the team dinners. They say he excuses himself for about an hour and comes back smelling of raw fish.
Gibbs has bright hopes for his future. "He knows the way to the Superbowl" said Gibbs, "He is our Guide. I won't leave him." Though we are not sure why, no one suggested leaving him anywhere.
Edit: Except Buges. Who continues to accuse him of being a liar and thief. Though he hard feelings may stem from a confrontation he had with the rookie earlier. Jason tried to take one Bugel's Superbowl rings and when the coach refused, Jason bit him.

Campbell then turned to Brunell and quoted Adam Sandler from The Longest Yard: "Don't get short with me, Frodo".
Anyone else think Ben Nowland can back up Rabach? He's 6'-3, 300, here's some info i found on him:
Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Received the Pat Dye Leadership Award.
Ben Nowland is rated by some scouts as the third-best center coming out of college.

Small item in today's Post about the Skins introducing the shotgun. Jason is very comfortable with the shotgun from his days at Auburn. This offensive "adjustment" sent positive alarm bells off in my redneck head. Gibbs is up to something. Jason in a third and long situation?

From what I read about the NFLE season that was recently concluded, his play fell off in the second half of the season for whatever reason. I think Freidman is probably the backup due to his versatility.

I've heard of a third down Back, but a third down QB? (unless your starting QB doesn't have an arm and you need to get it down field...but Ramsey has a shotgun on his shoulder) It seems very strange. Too many factors would be going against it.
Besides...didn't Ramsey use the Shotgun at Tulane also.

i think he got hurt. as bad as Raymer was, he still surpassed Friedman on the depth chart, and Friedman is only like 280 pounds. we can do better than that.

Isn't Raymer a considerably larger cap hit though? I thought THAT was Lenny's big advantage.

can you imagine if golem was 6' 5" and spent 4 years in the Auburn training room?

Cap hits for Raymer and Friedman (who both suck by the way)
Raymer 1.108 M
Friedman .800 M
As bad as Raymer was, if he's better than Friedman, why would anyone want to keep Friedman? did he even play last year? If Ray Brown, Wilson, Molinaro and Raymer all played ahead of Friedman, why would anyone want to keep him? i doubt anyone would even sign him if he got cut.

I thought he did play...at the begining, when we had all of the trouble...oh wait....yeah, he'll get the boot.

If Raymer and Friedman could be cut that would be great. They need to go, they have had their chance they are a couple of underachievers. I would much rather put a hungry rookie in. Bad play at center weakens the whole line and everyone else has to compensate.
