Madden 06 on Xbox vs. Xbox 360

Anybody here planning on getting Xbox 360 as soon as it is released? Is it still scheduled for November?

I wanted to get 360 as well as a couple games, one of which would definitely be Madden Next Generation, but Madden 06 comes out for regular Xbox in about a month and it would be hard to wait two months without being able to play it.

Should I hold out for Madden on 360? Will it be that much better? Anyone have some inside info, I'm not very up to date on the gaming world I just know I want 360 and I want Madden!!

Xbox games work on Xbox 360. So you could just get both. I'm just gonna wait for 360, but if you have money, get both.

I'd probably just wait for the 360 version...but I'm cheap when it comes to buying 2 versions of the same game.

I most likely will wait. I probably won't buy the 360 till post Christmas though. I'm really not sure what I want to do as Madden as not captivated me very much this year.

I'm not going to get it, I'd rather continue with my franchise that I've already been playing for 7 seasons.

I reserved my copy of Madden 06 on Xbox today, I am sick of my copy of ESPN 2K5 that I got last year cause it was only 20 bucks and came out a month earlier, so now I'm pumped to get my first Madden game since 2002.

I think this may affect how I go about getting 360 though, the main reason I wanted 360 was to get the new Madden but I may hold off on it when it comes out though since I'll have Madden 06.

Or maybe I'll get 360 but hold off on Madden Next Generation. Or maybe I'll just realize I can't afford any of this stuff when it comes out and sit around and watch more reruns of Real World/Road Rules challenge... Not sure yet...

I am not buying the new Madden until I see if I get the new Xbox. I was thinking of naming all the historical Skins teams and doing an "All-Redskins" tournament. With the exception of drafted players, I have the rosters fairly current.

being a playstation guy myself I don't have choice you guys do. If I did, I would buy both. One thing you could do is rent Madden 06 and see if there are enough updates to this year, to make it worth buying

yeah, I've toyed with that idea, but I don't like change. I've defended Playstation against XBox with friends so much that I have this hatred for it for no particular reason. I'm hoping that Sony is doing some wierd marketing ploy and just fooling the public into thinking the PS3 will be out next year but is actually coming out the same time as XBOX.

I just don't see much logic in releasing it later. I figure your gonna have your people that wait for PS3, the people that will just buy XBOX and then people who will buy both. But Sony runs the risk of playstation people buying XBOX because they can't wait for the next generations games and then end up liking it better and not buying a PS3 at all.

I have $150, but I let my sister borrow $50 bucks a little while ago so she has to pay me back.

Haha nice. It's gonna be a bit pricey though, 300 - 350? Jeez!
Oh well, I'll be at software etc. the day it comes out.

I can't decide if I want to get 360 or not. I am a Playstation guy, and will definitely be getting PS3 (it already has several games that i want...killzone 2, metal gear 3, whatever grand theft auto next gen...and every EA Sports game). But, if 360 is so amazing when it first comes out, I may wind up getting that and not PS3. But I would rather have PS3.
