Well, no pun intended, but I thought it was fantastic. Anyone else catch it yet?

I think I'll go see it soon when I have a little more time, I was all set to go yesterday but I caught a sneak preview of The Island instead which was pretty cool... All the negative reviews of F4 put me off a little but I'll still see it within the week.
Btw, I saw Jessica Alba in person once in LA and my goodness she's about the most gorgeous woman alive. She was also very nice to a family of fans who recognized her (wasn't me I swear :))

This movie does absolutely nothing to refute that analogy.

I have only seen a review or two of F4 but they were very good. In fact it got a better rating than Batman.
It was the top movie this weekend with over 50 million.

It got 26% positive reviews from the nation's critics according to Rotten Tomatoes, one of the lowest totals of the year thus far. I'll still see it though, I like superheroes.

I'd be curious to see where that came from. I haven't seen it yet, but I have the same feeling about this as I did about the Hulk and Daredevil, and I didn't really care for either of them. I will probably go see it, but given Spiderman, X-Men and Batman, I don't know if it will come anywhere close to that.

I plan to see it so I didn't want to read too many posts (I have a fear of spoilers).... It would be interesting to put out a poll on each big movie release sop that at a glance we could see what % of HR memember like certain movies....
I was planning to wait until DVD for this one, but I may just give it a couple weeks to let the hype die down.

This movie looks both horrible and great at the same time...I'll probably wait for the DVD.

I really can't remember who the reviewer that loved the movie is but now that I have looked at some more reviews, that person was clearly in the minority.
I think I'll spend my money on Batman instead. As far as comic book heroes go, I was only a fan of the big 3 (Superman, Spiderman and Batman) anyway.

I havent seen it yet but plan on going this coming weekend, I'm a die hard fan of marvel comics, always have been. And while Hulk and DD left something to be desired I think that F4 should be better, just not on par with Spidey and the X-men. I hope I'm pleasantly suprised, the critics have slammed it thus far.

Would it be a bad idea to bring a 5 and a 7 year-old to this movie?

I have a few friends that have seen it, they took their kids...10 and 12. I plan on taking my 8 year old with me Mike.

I was looking for some place to take my kids yesterday to get out of the heat. (It was 95 and we don't have A/C in our house. I thought about taking them to a movie, but there really aren't many showing that would be okay. So I thought about this one, but I couldn't find any "okay for kids" comments anywhere, so we didn't go. Maybe next weekend we'll try it.

Would it be a bad idea to bring a 5 and a 7 year-old to this movie?I think I remember only one curse word the entire movie, and I'm not sure if that came from the movie itself or a patron. I had my 7yr old and my 2yr old boys with me. The 2yr old seemed to have a tough time dealing with The Thing. He kept pulling my wife's hand over his eyes everytime he popped up.

Good deal, I'll take my 3 and 6 year old boys to see it. I always liked the FF4 as a kid.

I was never really a fan of the Fantastic 4 growing up. I'll probably eventually see it, but it looks more of a kids movie to me.

I just saw it. It was ok to me, nothing too special but it didn't suck. I was entertained. I want somebody to pay Jessica Alba the 20 million, or whatever the going rate is nowadays, to show her fun bags.

Neither does this one! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322589/)

I've been let down by the "Superhero Movie Genre".
The only one I've enjoyed over the past few years has been the X-Men series. (Yes...I really didn't like Spiderman I & II)
I'll probably wait until DVD...and even then I have my reservations.
