[I know there is already a GTA-San Andreas thread, but that is a help thread. This topic isn't about help.]
The folks who rate video games have changed the rating for GTA-San Andreas from "Mature" to "Adults Only".

I can't really argue with the change, although I would like to point out that "Mature" means 17 and up, and "Adults Only" means 18 and up. Perhaps they need to sort out their own ratings. This seems like somewhat of a silly distinction.

I read something on this the other day. this is a very silly distinction indeed.
you have San Andreas on PC right? Have you thought about downloading that porno patch or whatever it is?

I do have the game. When I finish it - I think I'm at 82% right now - it is likely that I will go on the internets and look and see what mods are available for free. There were some good ones for VC which allowed me to enjoy the game after I completed it. I suspect there will be some good ones for SA too. This particular mod sounds kind of silly. I suppose if I was still 14 or 15, I might think it was cool though.

Kids will want to play it even more, now that the rating has changed.
Kids crave things they can't have.

The big difference between the ratings is that similar to NC-17 movies, the big stores won't carry games with that rating. It is still pretty dumb considering that you have to go out of your way to add this aspect of the game. Maybe only carry the mod on 18 and over websites. All the bad pub that the GTA series has garnered is ridiculous. There are plenty of games that are just as bad, but the franchise's success makes it an easy target.

Well, the reason they did change it is because of the Hot Coffee mod which locked a sex minigame of whose you point you can probably guess. It might be the first time sex was actually recreated in a mass distributed video game. The ratings system is messed up, but it's crazy what Rockstar put in the game and is now trying to claim innocence.

Here's a funny comic on the issue.

It can be accessed on the PS2 and Xbox also.

I think this is a joke, and if it is, I think it is pretty funny.
