You can if you know where Saddam or his sons are or can prove he's dead. The US has just offered a $25million and $15million rewards respectivly!

While I agreed that we needed to attack Iraq, its very disheartning to hear this. What this tells me is that the US can't get the job done. We have no idea where they are located. Supposedly, we are the best at hunting for people and keeping track of terrorist. This is a slap in the face if you ask me.

Second best. I would say the best at hunting and tracking, finding, and killing, and never giving up until goal is achieved woudl be Israel and the secret intelligence, the Mossad

It is not necessary for the success of the mission though. It was quite a long time before anyone knew the fate of Hitler after WWII. I just wish they would have planned the rebuilding better. Sigh I pray for our poor soldiers stuck over there. :(

I still wonder how they are going to explain the WMD that are there we can not seem to get. Maybe they will offer some reward to find them also. I agree CarMike this is a slap in the face.
No Bin Laden no Hussien, we can't seem to get the leaders of anything we try

The biggest problem was the fact that we gave the Iraqi's A LOT of time to prepare for the war. So much time, in fact, that one could declare that they hid/destroyed all the weapons of mass destruction.

This made me mad!!!
What a waste!!
In the US: Kids are starving, Grandparents are going without meds, people are homeless, etc...etc...
It's not right, I don't agree with this tactic

Yep, valid points. "Since we can't do our jobs right, lets put up 40 million dollars and hope someone else can get the job."
Rediculious.

I thought we had all this high-tech equipment that could be used. I remember Bush saying "we can read your name tags" in the Afghan fight. Are those satellites not working. I agree AGG, we have problems at home that that money can be used for. On top of that, our troops remain in serious danger Baghdad. Every day I read about ambushes and injured or kill American Soldiers. We still haven't found the WMD and it seems to be downplayed these days. Then Bush with his "Bring It On" comment the other day. That didn't help matters much.
Will this tactic be useful, I'm not sure. They're counting on some poor Iraqi to do their work for them.

I may have supported dubya about going to way. But the friggen economy is the worst its been in years. And then he wants to put up $40 million dollars on these jack asses?
Where in the hell is the logic? Its makes me mad just thinking about it.

It's fun reading the differences in peoples opinions/perspectives on things...
I can't wait for Spence's post.

The thing about WMD is that if it's biological WMD, traces of DNA can be sampled from any site and run through PCR to find ANY trace of Anthrax, Ebola, Tularemia, etc etc. You'd have to be beyond thorough to eliminate any vestige these agents, I think. Nuclear weapons are almost just as 'easy' to find. Uranium/Plutonium emit enough discrete pattern radiation so that a satellites can detect it, so long as they're not below ground. Chemical WMD not so easy.
