TO tells Steven A. Smith that he will be in training camp on time. No later than 15 seconds later, Drew R. goes on Sportscenter saying that the final decision to report has not been made.

What a circus.

Reading this alone inclines me to think that Rosenhaus may, in fact, be encouraging his players to holdout. They need to get it figured it out one way or another.

After reading that article, if he shows up, I honestly feel he could be more of a liability than asset to the Eagles. I love his quote,"I'll be there, but I won't be happy. I can tell you that much." Despite Donovan McNabb's persistent nonchalantness with the entire TO issue, there has to be some serious tension amongst the two. A wide receiver should never badmouth a qb with the talent and heart of McNabb. With this in mind, McNabb's animosity with TO's comment is still very present.

yep, it was on breaking news on ESPNews.

TO really didn't have a leg to stand on. He wants more money. Not to be fined and lose more money. I figured this is how it would end up. Just not this soon. I figured it would happen at the end of July.

T.O.!!! What are you doin'?!? You can't give up... They'll give you the new contract, you just gotta holdout, and show them who's running the show. You don't want to leave your family starving in the streets, do you? C'mon... you have to hold out. Otherwise, you're just a sissy negotiator.

:D

My sentiments exactly! I'd hold out the entire season if I were you TO!

I wholeheartedly agree with this post. I said nearly the same thing in another TO thread.

He knows this is his best financial option. The problem with TO is he's trying to pick on the wrong bull. The Eagles aren't going to budge on this. Their fiscal policy is the main reason they have been competitive the last 5 years. Reid will be able to tell quickly about TO when training camp comes and he shows up. I have no doubt he will make the best decision for Philadelphia not giving a damn about TO or his feelings.

this is going to be an interesting situation...

TO has basically said he wants nothing to do with the eagles and doesnt give a damn about the franchise or it's players and now he's going to play with that same franchise and players. I'd be pissed at him if I were his teammate...

Agreed. Any moron (including an Eagle player) can tell he's in for nothing but himself and his pockets. The Eagles' players (especially the veterans) will look at him differently. TO's bluntness and arrogance are unmatched. As sad as it is to say, he typifies a professional athlete in our country perfectly. It's a shame.

With any luck in 2 years the eagles will be where the 49ers are now starting from scratch, i mean if owens can do it to mariucci and garcia why not reid and mcnabb ...wishful thinking

Another thing I find incredulous about this whole process is that Rosenhaus keeps saying "we haven't decided".

It isn't his decision to make. He works for TO, not the other way around. TO should be making the decision, not Drew. He, like many other agents, seem to forget that quite frequently.

I think Drew was just upset that TO showed their cards earlier then they were supposed to.

What an amazing quote...3 people in the same paragraph that I can't stand: TO, Steven A Smith, and Drew Rosenhause..."birds of a feather" I suppose...
