***Important NEW Tailgate Info***

Okay folks, let me explain how we are going to do this this year. For those that have attended in the past, this will be a bit different.

I will have a sheet with me listing the names of those attending. dj_stouty is making personalized name tags for members that will feature the current avatar that you were using at the time that he pulls the list. We will also have blank name tags for your guests that you paid for to attend. EVERYONE NEEDS TO CHECK IN WITH ME TO RECEIVE YOUR NAME TAG AND A BLANK TAG FOR YOUR GUEST!!! We ask that your guest put their name on the tags. If I don't see your name on a tag, but you are grabbing food and drink, all I will say is that it will not be a pretty sight. I'm not trying to be an ass in this regard. What I am doing is making sure that those that paid their hard earned money to attend aren't being cheated out of what is rightfully theirs to enjoy. There will be some people there without nametags, most notably band members, that will be partying with us. They are allowed to enjoy the food and drink, as they have given funds to contribute. I know who they are. This isn't to discourage anyone that didn't pay from stopping by to say hello, as I know that some are planning to do. It is to stop those that have come accustomed to free-loading off of our tailgate, which happens alot of times in Green C21. Our regular tailgates are some of the most lively that occur even on regular game days.

I look forward to partying with you all, especially the newbies who will be attending for the first time.

I would think the cash lots would open at 9 am, same time as the stadium lots. I want to try and get there as early as possible myself.

It's off of Arena Drive.

Just for the record, that map isn't entirely accurate as far as the lot assignments, in particular that D2 area. That area is where we are, but that map doesn't show the "C" section that is also there. I don't want to confuse anyone because you have read us saying Green Lot C21. They don't mark it on the map because a good chunk of the C lot has been fenced off for stadium contruction equipment/vehicles and police cars. You are still looking for C21 on the light pole. Come in that D2 area that is on the map, but don't rest until you come all the way to the back at C21.

It has Brightseat Road on it. Brightseat on the left side of the street and Road on the right side of the street. It comes down toward the stadium where it then has a sign that says Redskins Road with an arrow to the right side of the street. It is the same street. I'm not going crazy but I'd have 2nd thoughts on you being my navigator though. :D

I am so freakin excited to be at the home opener of the most important season of Gibbs next run at the Lombardi! We all know that this second season of Gibbs second reign will have to match the rubber with the road, for Gibbs to realize that coming back was the right thing to do. I think we all feel the anticipation of that special feeling, that it's about time to get back to real Skins football - marked by the defensive tenacity and offensive intelligence that paved the way to our previous success. Maybe this IS in part due to a lot of tequila-----but i got goosebumps watching the Portis/Gibbs/D.C. segment ESPN at the bar tonight. Couldn't even hear the words, as it was a Philly bar, and they had the volume all the way down :rolleyes:, but the images of Jansen, Portis, and Gibbs - and the fact that they were highlighted just days away from the opening kickoff - makes me feel like it's ON!! To be able to celebrate it with fellow Skins fanatics like the HR crew is almost too much for me to fathom. It's been such a crock of crap to live here in eagles territory and put up with their cocky&whiney BS attitudes, it'll be so fantastic to hang with you all and remind myself yet again why I've loved this team for just about all of my life... ...................................

Brightseat on the left side of the street and Road on the right side of the street. And guess what? If you go straight thru the intersection, the road name changes to "Redskins Road". Please note those words next to the dark thin line headed towards the stadium and past your parking area. That road did not exist until after Jack built the Stadium. (I think Jack may have picked the name, don't you?). I don't see "Brightseat Road" listed along that thin line between the intersection and FedEx Field, do you?

If I were giving directions to get to the stadium/parking lot we tailgate in I would tell them to make a left or right onto Brightseat Road depending on which direction they're going in on Landover Road and proceed straight. You'll see signs for the orange, green and other parking lots but the police will direct you.

Now I could say make a left or right onto Brightseat Road depending on which direction they're going in on Landover Road. You will then come to a light. At that point, Brightseat continues to the left but you want to go straight onto Redskins Road. You'll see signs for the orange, green and other parking lots but the police will direct you.

I just hope the person wouldn't try to confirm they are on Redskins Road by looking for a sign saying Redskins Road because they won't see it. All they need for confirmation is that big 90,000+ stadium in front of them with Fedex Field on it.
