What Jersey to Buy

Just wondering what new player jersey my friends will be buying this year ? I am thinking of getting a Cooley because he is a good player who is going to become a great player this year. If everyone played with his passion will would be unstoppable.

When I bought a Brad Johnson jersey, he got hurt.
When I bought a Steven Davis jersey, he got hurt
When I bought a LaVar Arrington jersey, yep, he got hurt too!

So I bought a BURGUNDY shirt and guess who got hurt - ME!

So I wear other dark or matching colors with Burgundy, especially gold,
and NO one's got hurt.

I hope this isn't a gang call sign or something.

When I was looking to get a jersey I put a lot of thought into it. In this day players change teams so often. So I decided I didn't want a current player. I also thought I wanted a tough guy and an offensive player like John Riggins is too easy, everybody has that one. So I decided between my 2 favorite tough guy defensive players. #1 Wilbur Marshall or #2 Alvin Walton. I loved the way Marshall and Walton used to get in that extra little shot to a player who was wrapped up just before the whistle blew. So I wound up going with Wilbur Marshall #58.

If I were to get another Replica (already have Ramsey and Portis), I'd probably go Cooley, though I'm now feeling like I'm shafting the Defense a little bit.

Because of the outrageous price for an authentic, the only one I would ever get would be of a former player, i.e. Monk, Green, Riggins, etc. There's no way I'm dropping 300 coin on a jersey for a player that's going to bail in a year or two. The old-timers are the only way to go if you're goin' authentic.

Now that is funny :lol1: & scary :imshock: at the same time. Please do me a favor and don't buy and skins jerseys for any player on the current roster (to include practice squad players)! Maybe you should try and buy opposing team jerseys (you don't have to wear them, just put it on a blow-up doll or something), that way that person on the other team would have the jersey-injury-curse on them. Just a thought, but please stay away from skins players/coaches/cheerleaders/mascots!

I got Lavar`s authentic but now I`ve got no regrets because he signed it and its framed and represented by the big screen in da crib. This year I`m going for Cooley and Sean Taylor. I have only bought one Redskin Jersey in my life. Before I bought this jersey I always had this crazy superstition that it would be bad luck to buy and wear a jersey from my favorite team.

Finally I aquiesed and bought a jersey because this guy was gonna be the future of the franchise: No. 5 Heath Shuler. Last time I will ever buy a current player's jersey.

I've solved these problems. I had a Champ Bailey jersey, one of the ultra-cool 2002 throwback jobs. I couldn't bear to give it up, so my future mother-in-law removed Champ's name and put Spence there instead.

1. He has a hard-hitting and hard-playing style I like. Plus he's a nice guy to the fans.

2. He's going to be with the team for AT LEAST FIVE YEARS.

3. He is an up-and-comer, so there aren't a lot of shirts of his yet.

During my college years I got a #65 Dave Butz Jersey (the one with Redskins printed on the chest. Finally, decided to get a replica Jersey during the dark years (1993-1999) and got a Ken Harvey #57 jersey, which was the only one available a Sears the day I was shopping. After Kenny retired, I decided to go with a player that I thought would be a long time Skin. Anybody want a white Champ Bailey jersey? :banghead: In 2003, I was stationed at Osan AB Korea. You can get throwback jersey over there for a "good price." I was able to obtain a #17 Doug Williams jersey, which is my game shirt now. :Partyup: BTW, my dad had a Dana Stubberfield jersey. When Dana left, Dad got a seam ripper, and took Stubby's name off the jersey!

I think it was Big Country that found a 1994 throwback, white, Ricky Ervins jersey, w/ the 75th NFL anniversary patch on it. It was unique because the Skins never wore the white one that season.
