The last 2 owners to report should be checking into the Monacan and Powhatan conferences shortly....and once they do we should begin preparations for the draft!
In the meantime, Keino and I have decided that after reading numerous posts from the league, that our conferences will both be REDRAFT LEAGUES.
This means...that year-after-year, you start fresh with a new squad. (no keepers)
This is good for three reasons....
1. It keeps the league competitive. Each year, every owner needs to draft for success. No one owner can monopolize every year with the same studs. (Ie....it keeps EVERYONE on their toes)
2. It keeps the league active. If an owner has done poorly, they know that there will be a clean slate next year. This should help keep people interested.
3. It allows us to reassign any "deadbeat teams". If for some reason, a team becomes abandoned, it will be easier to replace that person, if the newcomer knows he doesn't have to inherit a crap squad. A new year...brings a new draft...and equal chance to succeed.
