for those that are lazy to look in the handbook or those that dont get around forums too often to see the things that ARENT in the handbook.....here ya go...note: this is for ps2...BUT the controls are almost identical to XBOX if u make the right trigger R1, the left trigger L1, the white button L2, and the black button R2...most of these work if u do that...

New Features:

Qb Vision Cone: use the R3 analog to rotate, or to directly go from one receiver to the other....hold R2, press receiver u want to "look at", then let go and heave the pass...your Qb's awareness (or AWR) is what mostly determines how big/small his cone is gonna be...note: the defenders react to where your cone is at...try not to stare down your receiver...a good technique is to look at one receiver...then look off to another right before u throw...

Precision Passing: When the cone is on the specified receiver, hold right/left/up/down on the left analog/d-pad to lead the receiver a certain way respectively...if done right, there should be a little box in the bottom left hand corner that says "precison passing" in your teams colors

Truck Stick: When running on offense, press up on the right analog stick to deliver a crushing blow to defender and normally breaking a tackle....note: you can also press up and to the right/left at a diagonal angle to truck stick somebody that u may not be face to face with...better with power backs with a high BTK rating...

Backjuke: When running on offense, press down on the right analog stick...better with speedier backs with a high ACC rating...

Deep Flat Zones/Curl Zones (the purple ones): when on the defender u wish to change assignment...press right on the right analog stick (to make him play a short flat zone)(the light blue ones) then right on the right analog stick once more to change it to the deep flat zone....OR...if a defender is already in a short flat zone...press right on the right analog stick only once to change it to a deep flat zone...note: these are helpful when trying to stop corner routes or a receiver from getting inbetween the short flat zone and the deep zone on the sideline...

Deep Zones: this year you can make every single defensive player play a deep zone...simply press up on the right analog stick twice (or once for the ppl already in a yellow/purple/light blue zone)...

Slide Protection: to make your defensive line shift to block a certain way...press L1...the press right to shift them right...left to shift them left...up to shift them outwards (to pick up looping DL/blitzing corners)...and down to pinch it (to pick up heat that comes through the middle)...note: u wont here or see any changes...but u will notice a difference in the way they block...can also be done on running plays...

Sprinting with the QB: this year u dont have to drop any icons or anything...just simply hold X...to do a dive/spin/stiff arm/juke, hold L2 and press the button for the rushing move u want respectively...

Formation Specific Audibles: each offesive formation has four new audibles that can be called at the line of scrimmage to quickly change plays without tipping off the defense. Press the sqaure button then press the right analog stick up (for a quick pass) down (for a run) left (for a playaction pass) or right (for a deep pass)...note: i dont think these can be changed for online purposes...

Smart Routes: Picking up nine yards on a third-and-ten play wont do u much good. Now, u can tell a receiver to run past the first down marker before breaking off his route by selecting him as u would with a hot route (triangle then the button corresponding to him) and then press the right analog stick down...

Changing hot receiver: to make a different receiver become the hot route (shown in orange)...hold R2 (can also be L2 offline) and press the corresponding button...

Linebacker adjustments: This new feature may help u set up custom plays faster...simply press R1 (while on defense) then on the right analog stick...press down (to blitz all linebackers) up (to call of all linebacker blitzes and put them into a hook zone (the yellow ones) or right/left (to blitz the right/left OLB)

Show your specific defensive assigment (only helpful offline): press down R3 and it will show u only the highlighted players' defenisve assignments...this is helpful if u forgot your assignment and u dont wanna show your opponent your whole play....note: can also be used to trick ppl (on man cover 1 in most playbooks...there is all man and one deep zone and one hook zone...u can control the guy in a hook zone and press R3...he will see the yellow zone and automatically think that your play is most likely a zone because the MLB is playing a zone...also u can do this vice versa with plays like nickle335-under 7 slice to make him think man when its really almost all zone...its just one more way to keep your opponent guessing)...

Changed Controls/features:

Sell your defense to run/pass: (yep its back from 04) after the snap...simply hold L2 and press down/up on the right analog stick to sellout against the run/pass...respecitvely...

Sprint/Change players on D: it is opposite from last years - X=sprint and O=change players...

on XBOX - Stiff arm/juke: (also changed from 05) stiff arm left=white button...stiff arm right=black button...juke left=left trigger...juke right=right trigger...

Hot Audible/Audible on the fly: this year to hot audible...press R3 at the playcall screen...it then prompts you to hot audibles...pick which button u want that audible to be for the current play (u have 5 choices)...it then asks u which exact play u want to be the hot audible (3 choices)....

Activate Playmaker Passing: to guide the closest receiver...press the R3 button...it should make a little circle around the closest receiver...then press right/left/up/down to guide the receiver...note: your vision cone will automatically lock on to that receiver...

some of these seem kinda obvious...but i would be surprised if somebody knew all of these before i posted them

I figured this would help some that were newer to the game....also the back juke rocks.
