I was completely DISGUSTED at the former Skins fans highlighted in this article. I don't give a crap about the Panthers, but it really got me pissed when the one former fan said he's been booing the Skins for the last 20 years... Screw them all, and HTTR!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Try and refrain from using R-rated words, even if a letter or two is blanked out. Thanks.

I have said this before and it bears repeating, we don't need fair weather fans here. Only fans that bleed Burgundy and Gold are what we want. To me it is like a marraige, you don't go running off when things are not going good. I have proudly worn my Skins colors every Sunday during the seasons through good and bad and that will NEVER change.

Why do we care what Panthers fans think? Why do I care if a guy who booed the Redskins now does it at Carolina?
Heck, I can hear the booing from the Philly Smeagol fans and I'm 25 miles away.

ehh, who needs em anyway. for every so called "fan" that wants to switch teams another is being born and being raised the right way as a true Redskins fan by a true Redskins fan. No matter how bad it gets, and its been bad, a true Skins fan's faith in the team never waivers.

I can understand former Skins fan adopting the Panthers in '95 when they created the team, it's just like some of us ditching the O's for the Nats. But switching teams when you move? High treason.

43, on a minor note, we try to avoid using any particularly strong curse words around here. Not a big deal, and you had to right idea with not typing the whole word, but even then, the site policy is to change it to something a tad bit weaker. Nothing personal, just something we do around here.
Anyways, yeah, I hate turncoats as much as anyone else, but it'd sure be nice to have a couple winning seasons to pull some of the general public back around....

Exactly RR!
Here's the quote they mention,
I booed 'Skins for 20 years," Stenstrom said. "I figure I can switch and boo another team just as well."
Who wants a fan like that anyway.? If he's only berating the team and not supporting it. I'd rather have him elsewhere. The more so-called "fans" like this we get rid of the stronger our 12th man will be!!!

WS, I feel your anger but, don't let these guys get you down. Do you think they REALLY feel the extreme joy we do when we win? These guys are not emotionally invested in our team like we are. These guys don't share the same character traits that we do. They don't believe in things like loyalty.
I say let them jump on and jump off our bandwagon all they want.
Just don't come into our house on Sundays and start booing our team. That's a sacrilege that won't go unpunished by the Redskins 12th Man!

3 years? By that time we should double the number of trophies in our trophy case :)

A fan and a traitor do not go in the same sentence. I bet you at least half of Patriots/Eagles/Steelers/Colts fans would spit on those teams and find somebody else the second they hinted at having a losing season.
At least we know that all of the Skins fans left are loyal. :)

I'll be honest, my hR peops.... it's hard NOT to be a Panthers fan in Raleigh since we can't get Skins' games as easily as we used to. In fact, our station affiliates used to have a deal that whenever Skins games are on that don't conflict with Panther games, we would get those games on as well... whether Fox or CBS had the double header or not. That was good times... but not the case anymore.
Most of us in the Carolinas adopted the Skins cause they were the closest team. But with the Panthers in our state, I can see why some have switched sides. Not to mention their winning ways as of late..
I wish we had a few good years; these have been the most painful as a Skins fan. But like most of you have said, the loyal will be the ones to reap the rewards of their faithfulness...
I like the Panthers but I will ALWAYS be a Skins fan first. Everyone, hope for the dream (Panthers win the South, Redskins in the East, Eagles miss the playoffs due to the Week 17 loss to Washington, Skins beat Cats in NFC Champ game) and maybe Detroit will be our new home away from home....

Yup...here's how it goes:
We win the Superbowl this year and they say: They're just lucky, Go Panthers!
We win the Superbowl 2 years in a row and they say: Wow, maybe the Skins are finally getting better.
We win the Superbowl 3 years in a row and they say: Go Redskins!
We then don't make it to the Superbowl in year 4 and they say: The Redskins suck!
Repeat this process over an over again.

Even though I already knew it, I'm always shocked to read that the Skins are the second-most expensive ticket in the league. This for a team that hasn't had a winning season since 1999. Pathetic.

And yet none of you guys on here who have season tickets are giving them up over the high cost.
It's all supply and demand. If we go 0-16 this year, and then 10,000 fans drop their season tickets, the Redskins will have those 10,000 sold again in 48 hours. And, for me, that's what's so great about our team and our fanbase. It doesn't matter how much we stink, our (true) fans will always be there to support the team, and cheer them on.
We don't need losers and posers like this sad sack of poo-poo. He can boo all he wants. I'm pretty sure peeps like SuperSkin can drown out his pathetic cries.

Did anyone else notice this:
Those tickets are a bargain, too.
At an average of $50.23, Panthers tickets are the 26th least expensive in the 32-team league, according to a 2004 analysis of NFL prices conducted by the Chicago-based Team Marketing Report.
Tickets are a steal because are the 26th least expensive? In other words they are the 8th MOST EXPENSIVE!!! There are only 7 teams in the NFL whose tickets are more expensive than the Panthers and 25 that are cheaper but by using the words "least expensive" in their comparison they try to spin that they are a bargain. What a load of crap!

I think you know darn well what they meant. Besides, there are 32 teams so that would make them the 6th most expensive, not the 8th. I am a season ticket holder and just the thought of paying 50$ per game makes me want to cry.

Totally agree. We are all here and never going anywhere. Our loyalty is totally there and will be. I don't care if that old man is a friggin' Panther fan after being a 'Skin fan. His loss, just better not come back around.

Actually we are both off. It makes them the 7th most expensive. If they are there are 25 teams cheaper, there must be 6 teams more epensive plus the Panthers which = 32.
What I was getting at is they are spinning it to make them seem like a bargain when they obviously are not. They are more expensive then almost 80% of the leauge which makes them pretty pricey comparatively.

Personally, I think this is part of the problem with this franchise. The stadium will be full, the cash lots will be full, the lines for beer, food, and merchandise will be long, no matter what the product on the field.

Your argument makes it sound like our owner, the coaches, and the players all strive for mediocrity, because they know that we'll always be a money-making machine. I don't think that's true AT ALL. Despite what a moron our owner has been in the past, he does want to win football games, and he's finally starting to learn how to construct a team that will do that. And you can't question, even for a second, the dedication of the coaches (certainly the current ones) and the players... they want to win more badly than any of us fans want them to.
My point was that our fanbase is so unbelievable, that they'll support our team, no matter what. Even if the team totally sucks, the fans will always be there.

I am not denying the dedication of the players, and certainly not the coaches. However, I am of the mindset that Snyder's true motivation for owning this team is money. How do you explain the season ticket credit card rule? Or the attempt to prevent people walking to the stadium? There are tons of examples.
ALl I am saying is that with the dedication of the fanbase, the amount of dollars in his pocket won't change.

Let me be the first to say that as an NC resident the Panthers coming in 95 had no bearing on my love for the skins at all. Charlotte is at the other end of the state(from me) anyway, so Fed Ex isn't that much further away for me . And to be honest if the stadium was in my backyard, i'd still root for the skins, as would my 8 year old son....lol.
