I don't know about anyone else but the Giants scare me. If that O-line is as upgraded as they're claiming (but I don't think it is) then their offense is absolutely LOADED. The defense should be decent too with Pierce and getting their whole line back from injuries. We need to win both games against these guys so I hope we're up for it.

Eli is basically screwed unless he completely surpasses Philip Rivers and his brother. His brother has the advantage of playing like a legend in a city that loves him. The New York media will destroy his psyche if he struggles at all because they gave up two firsts for him.

#2 I think, followed by The Bachelor, Jesse Palmer, hahaha. I heard the Gints are looking at other experienced backups too, they just had an interview with the future Hall of Famer, Tim Couch!
Oh boy there are some Giants officials PRAYING for little Eli right now.

It would be funny if Coughlin chose Eli's replacement by having them all in a room and he gives a rose to who will start.

Eli did chose a difficult media to make his initial stand. ..And I'm not sure if he is the next Elway......

The Giants don't scare me at all because Eli Manning is their QB. The Skins match up favorably in many ways. Antonio Pierce was outstanding in the Redskins defense but there is a chance he will not thrive in their system. I think the Giants recievers are going to hear footsteps against our safeties. Somebody is going to pull a Pinkston. It might be Hilliard, it might be Toomer, might be Shockey, probably not Plaxico. I'm worried about Plaxico. If he lines up 1rst and goal, we'd be smart to put ST on him. Springs would get the job done too but if we get Walt freakin Harris on him it could get ugly.

Yes they scare me too and that's what I've been saying ,the O line has been upgradeed and healthy people have returned same for the D.Lets not forget they lost 6 defensive ends last year .Hillard is no longer with the Giants but you have a healthy Shockey ,Toomer and Burress with Tiki and a rookie back that's 6'4 and 260 with the second fastest time on the team. QB if Eli is 50% of his brother he'll be good and all of us liked Hasselbeck when he was here ,Palmer can hand off as well as anyone .My brother is a Giant fan and I for one don't want any crap from him but when he tells me this stuff you got to give it some thought .

Well they beat the Panthers and we didn't ,they know who there QB is and we're still guessing and Hillard isn't with them anymore .And food for thought when "WE" had the best corner in the league (Champ) Toomer use to turn him around all the time .

Is this MRI a result of the play where Peppers forced the fumble and returned it for a TD?

Yup . He stayed in the game and threw a 41 yard TD pass after it but he woke up sore so they are getting him checked out .

Jesus...Manning was 3/9 for 150yds and 2 TDs in that game. He had two TD passes for 90 and 41 yards...plus a 29 yard pass in there just for good measure. Plus a fumble for a TD for the other team
We talk about RAMSEY'S inconsistant play. 33% completion percentage, but 22% TD percentage...plus giving the defense a TD...I'd have NO idea what to think if I were a Giant fan.

The 90 yard TD was a result of poor, poor tackling. The Panthers should be ashamed of themselves for that one. I didn't see the other TD pass.

Beating a team that we didn't beat means little in real games and absolutely nothing in the preseason.

Agree and disagree. The Giants beat the Panthers but they also lost to the Browns the week before, so preseason results don't tell us that much in my opinion. I won't take any Redskins result seriously until Clinton Portis has rushed 25 times in the game, if that is not the case then it is simply a scrimmage.
But I agree with you that the Giants are not to be taken lightly. Over the past few weeks I think I feel that they are now a stronger team that the Cowboys, who appear to have a pourous line (especially on the right side where they have NO right tackle) a washed up QB and average (at best) WRs. They also have a defense that is in serious transition and could be caught off guard.
But the Cowboys still scare me too because they still have talent and they have had our number big time. So basically, every freaking team in the NFC East has me scared, so we better finish at least 3-3 in our division if we want a chance at the post season. The East is probably going to be the most improved division in football this year, in my opinion.

They were talking about this earlier today on ESPN Radio and were giving the impression that Eli's elbow is in very bad shape. I guess this means we may be seeing Tim Hassellbeck again this season. I'm glad the Giants are injured, this makes them worse, this division is very up in the air for #2 behind the Eagles. This gives us a slight edge over the Giants.

Fact: Spurrier looked great in the preseason, and couldn't do squat in the regular season. Don't read too much into things.

They still don't have a good Oline, consistant Qbing(Eli or not), Buress is seriously inconsistant(wonder why no one went hard for him in the offseason), Barber has the fumbles and the defense is fair at best. But your not a giants fan, right?

Cowboys scare me infinitely more than the Giants do. The only reason Eli's getting all this hype is because of his last name. If he were Eli Johnson, peopel would be screaming "Bust!" already. I mean, he almost went into the offseason without having won a single game, threw 9 picks to only 6 TDs, and completed less than 50% of his passes. Less than fifty percent. And people are talking about the Giants' offense like it's the next coming of the Greatest Show on Turf.
I find absolutely nothing wrong with saying that I can't wait for the Redskins to face Eli Manning.

Its the Chad Pennington theory JDS. A good looking semi-successful QB playing for a New York team gets all the extreme favorable treatment from the media. Its the same reason Shockey was annointed a Hall of Famer before he actually played and is still considered one despite only having one good year. You'd think Eli had a monster rookie year by the way ESPN is talking about him.

I couldn't agree more. Eli will be good, but I don't fear him at all. I really didn't think he was all that at Ole' Miss. So, until he really he tears it up (if that happens), I'm not worried.

You think Camp is or was the best CB in the league? I really don't know how he got annointed that status but I think he was disqualified from it when Porter burned him for 3 td's in one game last year.

Pennington has had one very good year, and then injuries. He's had more games under 200 yards passing than games over 250 yards passing. I think he is a good Qb, but not this superstar that ESPN and the New York media makes him out to be. I wouldn't put him in the top 10 QBs of the NFL right now.

Vick(especially) and Leftwich should not be on this list. Vick is an athlete, but is an inconsistant QB. Leftwich needs to take some steps in his development before he'll be here. The next 3 on this list are: Roethlisberger, Brees and Carson Palmer.

1) He's not...he's fine .
2)Gives us what edge ?Acoording to this board we don't have a QB and no frontline pressure at all .
3) LaVare isn't playing and nether is Springs we're hurt as much as they are .

I understand but he's better than
Hasstlebeck
Leftwich
and definetly a better QB(not runner) than Vick
and unlike six of the other QB's on the list ,he went to a super bowl (I know he lost,so did McChoke)

By that logic, Trent Dilfer should be considered a better QB than Collins. He won a Super Bowl. Collins hasn't won much in a few years, Hasselback has.
