I don't understand why they are doing this. I don't understand why MSN tried it either. The only way I would grab a new IM service would be if I could also chat with my friends from AIM and MSN messenger and a bunch of different services at once. Otherwise why would I get something else when everyone I know is on AIM?

I never even log onto the Yahoo/AIM messengers anymore, so there is no point in me downloading another messenger service.

I downloaded and will take a look at it, but it is kind of like Browsers and search engines. Once you get comfortable with one, it is hard to change. I have used Yahoo Mess since i started using Messnegers and am pretty much logge don all the time. To get used to somethign else would be like changing my hoem page away from yahoo. It is just too difficult to do. Man, I hate complacency!

i use trillian for my messenger. It has AIM/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ all on it, so perhaps they will add google.

Keino recommended Trillian to me a year ago...and I ditched it, b/c I never got used to it.

I've been with AIM for so long, I can't foresee myself switching.

I had a problem that everyone i knew had a different messenger and i got tired of opening each messenger. Thats when i found Trillian. I never really used any other functions than just the messengers. It suited me as i needed all of the messengers. But if you only use one then i wouldnt worry about trillian, it just helps if you use multiple messengers at once.
