Ramsey doesn't feel any additional pressure?
Considering this guy's track record for failing under pressure, I sure hope he is telling the truth.

Well what do expect? Its not like he's gonna go running to the media saying "I'm so scared. If I mess up I'll lose my job. Its so much pressure, thats why I'm going to a spa after practice on Thrusday to try and relax. I think I'll get a facial and maybe get my nails done, you know we have to treat ourselves to something special every now and then."
No. It doesn't matter how much pressure he feels, he's gonna say the same thing. "There's always pressure, but I don't feel anymore pressure now then any other time. I have to go out and preform. We want to move the ball, quit the turnovers and score some points to help the team win"
Sound right?

Yup, one of those fluff pieces put out to spur off a QB controversy with fans. Ramsey under no pressure? Ummmm, ok. The why the heck does he look so nervous?

I think ever since the SS days he has felt pressure even when he is not playing football.

Football isn't pressure... Football should be fun. If Ramsey feels "pressured" by the burden of being a starting QB, then he shouldn't be one.

Yeah, but, it is also a HUGE business and career for these guys that want bigger pay days, and you only get bigger pay days by starting and excuting. Football is suppose to be fun, but at the Pro Level, it is a job, and a job where you can be in one day, out the next.

Yeah, players NEVER say they feel pressure. You know they do, especially QBs and coaches who usually take all of the blame for losing. But they can't say so because then the media would ream them.

if there was no preasure there would be no desire to get better. i think preasure is what makes sports fun.

I know and I don't disagree, but I think sometimes the "pressure" is a symptom of the fact that they don't handle things well. For example, I may have a tight deadline on a report due, but I don't feel "pressured" about it... Maybe it is a bad example, but I think he needs to relax and go do his best. The rest will take care of itself.

The occupation of an NFL Quarterback is considered a "high pressure" position. (Just like that of a politician, corporate CEO...etc) He will receive "pressure" from his coaches, his front office, and ultimately the fan base to perform at a high level. NFL Quarterbacks are aware of this...and the great ones overcome it easily...the good ones seem to manage it...the fair ones get distracted by it...and the poor ones crack under it.
Up to now, I would say Ramsey as been distracted by the pressure as evident by last preseason, in spots during the '05 regular season, and the entire '06 preseason. He won't switch from being a "fair" QB to a "Good" QB until he learns to manage it and simply play the game.

Ramsey SHOULD feel pressure. Hell, if he overthrows one pass in a, otherwise, totally brilliant performance, he'll get ripped apart by the fans in ways even Charlie Batch is unaware of.

So Ramsey says he doesn't feel any pressure.
So correct me if I'm wrong here: He is performing like crap under essentially normal circumstances.
What happens when there is real pressure.
