No real reason for posting this photo, I just like it. Go ahead and post your favorite [non-porn] photos here, if you like.

Photography is an interest/hobby of mine. Might not be popular with the rest of the site, though. :)

What about soft porn?

I hope I don't regret starting this thread. No porn, folks. When Mark and I started this site I made only three demands:

1. No pop-up ads;
2. No gambling ads;
3. No porn or ads for porn sites.

It's not that I'm an anti-porn crusader. I'm a good old fashioned liberal and what people do in the privacy of their own hard drives is none of my business. But this is a family-friendly site and it's going to stay that way as long as I have anything to say about it. If you like porn, go for it. And by that I mean: Go elsewhere for it. :)

Film or digital? Or both? I like to dabble with photo editing.

I took a class on photoshop and digital photography 2 years ago. I thought it was pretty interesting. I made some cool stuff. I don't have them anymore, but I thought they were pretty good.

I like it and should take a class to understand what I'm doing. It's all trial and error, sometimes it turns out nice and others it looks like doo-doo. I use Paint Shop Pro Studio; much easier for me than Paint Shop Pro.

Here is a close up of that bird. My goal was to get a bird flying directly in front of the sun...but the sun set too quickly. lol

Digital, I used "oil paint" for the area around the statue.Very cool, Tom. That's a nice effect. I've always had a soft spot for that guy. I worked in that square back in 2001.

I like it and should take a class to understand what I'm doing.For some reason good classes in photography are offered at the Department of Agriculture. Why? No idea. Good stuff, though, and very reasonable prices.

That's cool. I've seen a similar picture for sale; it was a dolphin jumping over a setting sun.

Here is a couple of phtos that I took today of an as yet unidentified insect or very small bird. I think it may be a hummingbird or a really odd flying beelike insect. Anybody know what this is?

Click the pictures to get a closer view:

Which bridge is that in the background... is it the closest one to the ocean? Because if it is, that's where my killer fishing spot is.

Yes. It was taken bay-side next to the convention center...so that bridge is the closest to the Ocean (inlet).

Photography is one of my hobbies too. Film or digital? Both. My automatic has a better zoom then my digital. But, I did take my digital to my concerts this July. Excellent job taking the pictures!!

Here is a picture of my favorite guitarist. Frank Hannon of Tesla. This picture was chosen by Frank to use for his Washburn guitar ad in their catalog. First time one of my pictures has been published. Very cool!! :)
