After last night's game, it looked like Carlos Rogers worked out the few kinks from his first-ever start last week. He seemed to be all over the place, covering, breaking up passes, laying out hits, almost caused his 2nd int in as many games, too. Maybe GW could be thinking about making him our #2 by opening day?

Yeah, #22 is playing well. He's started these last two preseason games, which leads me to believe he'll start vs. da-Bears.

Well i think Harris made him our #2 by being injuried. He was all over the place tho. Making tackles on running plays and is also good in coverage. He seems like a Sean Springs clone out there. Which is a compliment to him.

I have to go back and watch the tape, but other than the one play, I don't think you can really be critical of anyone on D. They dominated that game.

I think Rogers starts Week One, especially with Harris not fit.

I think it's very possible that he will be the # 2 against the bears, seeing as how they seem to be struggling at the QB position. I really like this guy, and, now that I've seen him play in a couple of games, I think he was a great choice where the picked him in the draft. He has good coverage skills and he likes to hit! (1 on 1 with Bettis - WOW!)

Agreed. It was very apparent that Rogers is alot more physical than Smoot. If we can get 3 more strong years out of Springs, we are going to be very set at corner. I was pleased with Carlos's performance tonight.

I totally agree. No offensive TD's. Very impressive.

Well, by the time Springs has to step back a bit, we'll have had plenty of time to work with our other corners and even draft one (perhaps).

But yeah, our secondary rocks.

Carlos showed last night...in a big way. Mike who? :)

I would have liked to see the D-line get a little more push, but overall a great defensive performance.. Then again, I also saw Griffin and a few others get held quite a bit and it was never called by the ref...

Carlos looked real good last night.. (for a rook)

Rogers played great last night. He read the run plays easily and did make a few run stops at the line. He played his receivers very tight and did not allow much when they did catch the balls. I think he will be our #2 corner going into the season. He seems to learn quickly from his mistakes and likes to be the playmaker. I also think our D will be better than last years D.

He was very good and improving. I wonder if teams will pick on him because he is a rookie?

Picking on him would mean throwing at Sean Taylor often.

I don't think so. ;)

Hes been playing very well, making tackles from all over, but I dont know if it will be a great thing if he starts week 1. If he has gotten adjusted to NFK speed, go for it, but we cant have him get burned like when we played Cincinatti.(although, not everyone has Chad Johnson speed)

I watched him all game and was tremendously impressed by his guts, strength and speed. He reminded me of Sean Taylor. He's going to be a great one. I no longer have doubts.

To steal the line of Joe Gibbs, Rogers looks like he belongs out there. He covers, he hits, and he can make plays. We got a good one.

I, too, was a little concerned when I saw Rogers get burned on back-to-back plays in the Cincy game. But, he seemed to have regained his wind. With Harris nicked, there is every chance Carlos will start on opening day. If so, is it wise to still keep him on the special teams?

He has a bright bright future with the skins. He looks like a stud.

Well, Sean Taylor didn't start last season, and he didn't even miss any time in camp. I think Rogers will be #3 on opening day, regardless if Harris starts or not. Don't forget about Garnell Wilds. If Harris can't go, then I think Wilds will. The Bears aren't exactly stacked at WR outside of Muhammad, and you know Springs will cover him. This way GW can ensure that Rogers is ready to go in week 2, vs. you know who.

I still think if harris is ready to go by the 11th then he will start and rogers will be nickel but he should still see plenty of time
