As you may or may not know, there is a serious storm heading your way, with possible tornatic activity within it. Please be careful down there. I hope that you all make it through okay.

For the rest of us in the DC metro area, looks as though this may be a long night as far as these storms go. Seems to be alot of activity to our west that hasn't cleared the mountains just yet. Please be careful out there everyone.

Iceland was a sweltering 55 degrees today with mostly cloudy skies. Thats about the only thing I dont miss about the states, thunder-storms. Stay inside if you can.

I live in No. Virginia...and we only got the upper top portion of the storm, and it was BRUTAL! I really feel for those who were in the storm's path last night.

Yeah it was rough last night. Both of my kids wound up in the bed with the wifey and myself. The 7 month old didn't sleep all night. The thunder and lightning scared the hell out of him, as it did myself at times.:D I'm assuming that everyone here made it through alright.

Yeah, the thunder and lightening kept me up for awhile too. Plus I was pissed because I came home to a computer that wouldn't turn on. (OFF TOPIC) Don't know what happened but the power button was useless. I tried all several outlets and nothing. I took the power source in and had it checked and it was fine. I was told it was my CPU or motherboard. Great, now I need a new computer. Well, I a new motherboard and CPU (went with AMD as opposed to Intel). It was recommended that I buy a new case too. Well, as you can tell, I'm back up now. Good thing my disk drives didn't crash. I was able to salvage them as well as my cdrom drives and memory.

I don't know if lightening did something or not but I'll start shutting down my computer daily now.
