Thanks Axe, we have sent our check to the Red Cross and I would encourage everyone to do so if you're able. Definately a great cause. The damage is unbelievable. It will be a long time until those folks lives are back to normal.

Good thought Axe. Let's make this sticky and put it in the hospitality forum.

I did what I could at the moment :( Staples doesn't pay very much and gas is very expensive. But at least I did something. I'm probably gonna donate a few more times later on when I have some more money.

I just got word that here in the DC area, Metro is sending 10-20 buses to Louisiana to relocate 400 families here to the DC Armory (Directly accross from RFK Stadium.) I will look into seeing if they can take donations, clothes toys for children and other things...THey are looking to get here around Labor Day. I am looking into volunteering there as well.

We just set up a United Way help program here at work to assist in the hurricane efforts. Basically, they will take a certain % out of each check. It all goes to a great cause. I encourage everyone with financial capacity to contribute to the hurricane relief fund or United Way. Those people really need it.
