# Jonathan Alston, OL
# Jonathan Combs, RB
# Robert Johnson, TE
# Aki Jones, DL
# Robert McCune, LB
# Christian Morton, CB
# Rich Parson, WR
Ive never heard of Christian Morton. Here is an excerpt from the article on redskins.com.
Morton, 6-0 and 180 pounds, is a first-year player who played his college ball at Illinois. He was a seventh-round draft choice by the New England Patriots in 2004. He later caught on with the Atlanta Falcons and played in two games in the regular season, recording two tackles.

No Wilds. So much for my theory that he'll be back in uniform soon. Oh well, the same goes for Morton instead though. In Gregg Williams I trust.

INteresting. It is refreshing to see that this team is willing to let go folks no matter what they make or where they were drafted.

Didn't it say there there is 1 spot left to fill? Maybe its Wilds, who knows. I wish there was some info on anybody that got signed from our team. Btw, I did like it that we signed Parsons. I thought he played like a returner possessed against B'more.

How did Johnathan Combs get there and why would we want another RB when we got four on the roster. No other real surprise except for Morton. iguess Brown and WIlds really did not impress any one else either.

I agree! That's the way it should be. I get tired of everyone saying how lousy the late round picks were. If Undrafted FA Keasey beats out our 5th round pick doesn't that mean we still accomplished what we wanted? Look at how the great Redskins teams of the past were built, in large part with undrafted FA's, castoffs, over the hill guys, "plan b" free agents. Yes there were some late round finds, but go back and look how many of the late rounders you never heard of. The sucess rate of any late round pick has got to be pretty low.
The media and most of the fans are enamored with the draft, but I would prefer to have a team full of UFA's if that's what will win. We just have to wait and see now.
I am suprised not to see Wilds on this squad, I guess GW knows better than me though!

Good posting. Everyone keeps saying how we dont get anything out of our 5-7th round picks, but most teams probabally dont...sure theres gems, and you find them once or so every couple years, but you wont get 3 contributors every year in the 5th, 6th and 7th rounders every year... Keasey was better then Mccune so im glad we have Keasey, if Mccune played better then Keasey, I would be glad we had Mccune...

Rich Parson must have been amazing to make the team. Why do we need another short receiver he is like 5'9"

Yeah Wilds should be on this team in one way or another. He played well last season as a filler. He'll most likely be picked up somewhere else if we don't retain him.

I agree with you about Combs. We already have 4 wats the point in another. Wasnt he the one fumbling all those times in the first preseason game. I hope we pick Wilds back up though he looked good las year. His play during preseason may have been affected by injury. The Aki Jones story has been a good one also.

he only played in 1 game last season. And this preseason he was getting abused by 2nd and 3rd string guys. I wouldnt be suprised if we dont see him on the practice squad.

i'd rather see Wilds and Rufus in there then Combs but i think they regressed this preseason. Rufus might've been the one getting torched by Hymes all game but it was also Wilds who gave about a 10 yard cushion to Hymes on that last play in Overtime.. maybe G. Williams felt these 2 have hit their ceilings.

I'm glad Robert Johnson is back. That guy is huge! I hope he can soon replace Kozlowski.

Happy to see McCune back, but we need a solid No. 4 corner. Jimoh just doesn't cut it.

There is one spot open. A PS consists of 8 players and that list is 7 long.

He's a return guy who averaged 27.x yds per attempt.

Agreed. I like Parsons, and if Antonio really does start being as horrible as he looked, that's nice insurance.
In any case, I'm not too suprised to see Dyson go. He did nothing in the Bengals/Pittsburgh game, and although he did pretty well against Baltimore, you really can't judge a roster spot on one game.

Really surprised to see combs on the squad. He didn't run that well and was trying to catch passes w/ his facemask in preseason. Plus if you are really in a pickle u can find a RB out there of at least his caliber.

He started two and he played in a lot more. He played well last year, and I didn't see him get abused much this preseason.

I'm also very surprised and dissapointed about Garnell. I can think of several guys on the final 53 who we seem to need less. Does anyone know if Wilds has been snapped up elsewhere? I'm sure Randy Moss could provide a solid reference to his current employer...

I like Parsons. Antonio Brown's KO/PR have been average. Obviously he will not play at WR.
Parsons is the insurance and backstop for Brown if he falters further.

I remember one game in particular that they drove the entire field in like 4 passing plays. Every single pass towards him.
I also dont think he started 2. i just remember him on the PS all of last year until the final game.
Edit: Ok i looked up Wilds stats, and he only played in 2 games all of last year. He played San Fran(only 2 tackles, no passes defended), but didnt start and started against Minny. The only other times he has played was in preseason last year.

Well, 4.55 is not a good number for a CB.

Theres got to be something good about him dont jus judge his numbers all tho i dont like that 4.55 40 time for a cornerback.
