After whipping up on Bailey last year, it looks like Chad Johnson has his sights set on another ex-Redskins CB.

That's funny, because I doubt Smoot will be matched up against Pepto.

Johnson can back up his smack better than Fred. Dude is bad. From game 1, it looks like Fred's addition didn't help too much. I do enjoy Fred's talk and wish him well except when he plays us.

I don't think Smoot can handle CJ! Smoot always got the #2 receiver, before Champ had the #1 and then Springs. I'd like to see him go against a top receiver to see if he has the stuff, but I don't think the result would be in his favor.

Minnesota couldnt stop Tampa...Cinci is going to light them up. Chad probabally will light smoot up, if Winfields not covering them. Minnesotas one of those teams that always looks good on paper...then they play, and your like whhhhaaa?

Talent wise they could be very good, but they could go 5-11 because they have a bafoon coaching them.

if they want to become a run oriented offense than it doesn't really matter how much talent they have at RB or WR. Without that probowl center leading the line, the line is going to suck and the running game/pass blocking is going to suck plain and simple. Think of it as how our offensive line sucked so bad with Jansen gone and multiply it by 2.

I don't deny that losing Birk is big, but every team has injuries...good teams overcome them.

I agree here. I am not a huge Tice fan. That team always seems poised to make the playoffs and either misses or back doors it.

I agree here, but I would say that GREAT teams overcome them. A lot of really good teams get derailed by injuries.

Smoot left washington(top 3 defense) and went to Minny(bottom 3 defense)

I think Chad Johnson is probably one of the top 3 or 4 recievers in the league. Right after Owens and Moss I think Chad is there on the same level as Marvin Harrison and Hines Ward.

Smoot is a quality corner but Johnson is just far and away a better player. I love Smoot but he wasn't worth the money he was asking for and this defense looks just as good without him.

Yes, probably the second one. However, it was a very good decision by the FO and Gibbs. They didn't give it in, and Minny overpaid for him. Antonio is doing a very good job in NY though.
