While a shroud of secrecy has clouded Holmes' recovery, and there have been divergent reports about his state of readiness for training camp, Chiefs officials and some Holmes confidants have maintained his rehabilitation is on pace. Most of the reports about a hip injury that sidelined Holmes for the final two games of the season have been speculation, second-hand information from teammates, or a combination of both.

If the Chiefs are going to give him an extension why not give him a new deal that will be easier to take on thier own cap unless they give him an extension with a bigger bonus and figure to cut him in 3 years anyway, or redo this deal.

Either way if he is healthy he has earned his money the last 2 years

I did not pick him in my yahoo FF league because I just don't know about him. Somehting tells me there is more to his injury then they want to let on.
