Like people the world over, most Indians are highly superstitious. Many aspects of their life is linked to some superstitious belief and some of these are even mentioned in religious literature.
Most superstitions were born with an aim to protect and were based on sound reasoning. With time, however, much of the reasoning has been forgotten and the beliefs appear unsubstantiated. But there are also many beliefs that have no reason behind them.
Of superstitions, those believed to portend future happenings are considered important. Anything from the call of a bird to the falling of utensils is considered an omen.
So if the football god's guarantee us a victory over the cowboys. What do you have to offer to them so we are guarantee a win ?? Or what is the most rediclious thing you would do ? :flower1: I would offer a signed helmet by Sonny Jurgensen to get the win.

I'd give up my date next Friday, 9/25, with Kristina, one of the hottest waitresses at (my ex-girlfriend's same work BTW,LOL!) the local Hooters!
Man, i'd have to come up with a good excuse for that, but i'd gamble a HUGE win on MNF VS. DALLASS to make it happen...HTTR!!!!

Wow. I could never do that. Wins come and go, but not a helmet signed by Sonny.
No bleeding way!!

We have lost 14 of 15, we have to do something! ;)

LOL!
Well, I for one think rolling around naked on the Dallas star is worth a win. Heck, maybe even a loss. I just wanna laugh my rump off at the ESPN highlights.
Whoever does it has to do the dog rump drag on the star, too. :devil2:

No we are ACTUALLY going to give up prized possesions we don't own and dates as an offering to Indian God's for a win on Sunday. If this were a joke, there would be NO way to slip it by the worlds most educated Cowboys fans
PS - THAT was a joke.....

You guys are great fans. I can understand your frustration the last few years. Been there, done that, lol. If there's one thing we all agreed on (NFC East), it's the deep dislike for the Cowpukes. It's just something about them that gets under your skin.
BTW, there is a thread on the Eagles board that asks who would you like to see win this Monday. Skins or Cowboys? Everyone of the responses have been......Redskins. We really hate those guys!! REALLY!!
Your defense is excellent and more than enough to shut them down. Just need to crank up that offense a bit.
Get it done guys!!! :awesomewo

LOL, I was wondering when the first troll would drag his knuckles in here.
Anyway, for a win this week, I'll go out on my deck and sing Hail to the Redskins every night for a week, I'll not say a cuss word for a week and I will even attend church next Sunday.

Thanks EA. In addition to what I mentioned before, I would also shake EA's hand AND buy him/her a beer should we ever meet in a sports bar up here in Philly, to get a win this Monday. EA, you must be thrilled to have lowly SanFran this week AT HOME, that should get REAL ugly for the Niners, LOL!

You would think so! But we haven't beat them since the late 70's. The last time we met was at the Linc 2 years ago and we lost on a last minute field goal. This game will be tougher than you think. This is one of those cases where standings or season records mean nothing. Logically the Eagles should win but history says differently....

Yeah they did EagleAye. In 1994, the Eagles beat the niners 40-8. Steve Young got pulled.

Well, I stand corrected. :banghead: Thats still a long time ago though. I do remember the last game at the Linc where they pulled it out. I hope we don't get too cocky with this game. I liken this game to playing teams in the NFC East. Current standing or record means nothing. Should be a good game however.

We need this win bad!!!! The redskins are still looked at as one of the worst teams in the NFL. If we can get a win against Dallas, we would have some respect shown to us by not only Dallas but pretty much all people in the world. Nobody has respect for the skins besides their fans. Plain and simple as that. Plus, its so depressing to see the skins continually lose to dallas even when they have the win...I want this win so bad!!!!!!

I started one of these for the miracle playoff run, but the problem is that nobody keeps their end of the bargain when we win. I'd rather people not make promises they don't keep to the sports gods.

I kept my promise in this thread! At least I thought I did, I sang HTTR out on my deck at 1:30 AM in the morning after the game but forgot I was supposed to do it for the whole week. I was conscientiously avoiding cuss words all week and I did attend church that next Sunday for the first time in 3 years. My pact in your thread will be done also, I've been looking for some new hats as a matter of fact. ;)
I'll have to think about this one for a while...
Why is this thread called Redskins Guaranteed a Win!!? I thought one of our players had pulled a Chad Johnson and guaranteed a win against the cowpukes!!

Well, because of the high ticket prices, I've traded a christmas gift from my wife for 2 tickets to this weeks game, a win would make christmas morning with out a present worth it (especially if it's followed by us beating the giants which I also have tickets for!)!!!!
Other than that, just about anything, let the football Gods ask, and they shall recieve......

It's been a long time since the football Gods have actually listened to me so I'm not sure if I give up something that it would even help. I could give up my new hd widescreen but then I wouldn't be able to watch the Giants game. I guess if the Skins win I could give up having to find this Lonestar guy in some halfway house in Dallas and not have to give him a good beat down! :rpunch: :twak:
