I am getting soo tired of all the QB talk so I wanted to bring up something (anything) else I am curious about that seems to have been long forgotten.

How did Lavar look against the Bears? I have watched the full game twice and didn't really notice him a whole lot. He had one great play near the end of the game when he blitzed up the middle and pushed through two guys to almost get Orton. He didn't get the sack but broke the play up. Other than that how did he look?

Did anyone notice how he was playing or even how many plays he played?

He made some plays. He's still not back to usual form, but he's getting attention out there which frees up other guys. He's getting there.

No Jay I didn't see much of LaVar either. By the way, who do you think should start at QB for the Pokes game. LOL

I wish Lavar played for the Cowboys. That way, Troy Aikman might still be with us instead of being up in the booth with Joe Buck wiping drool off of his chin.

Holdman played alot of the game, so I don't think LaVar was out there for the whole thing. He made a few plays, notably the one you mentioned at the end of the game, but I get the feeling that he's still learning and re-aquainting himself to being on the field. I know that he's going to be REALLY fired up for the Girls game, so I'd expect to see him coming at Bledsoe full force.

If we can beat them, I don't care if Lavar starts at QB! LOL

Lavar is hopelessly overrated.
Maybe. I know this, as of right now he is hopelessly overpaid!

Troy better be looking over his shoulder on the sidelines. Lavar may want another piece of Aichmen.

I doubt Aikman will be looking too much in Lavar's direction after the last time they were both at Texas Stadium.

I think Lonestar is what Aikman saw in the mirror after Lavar flattened him in Texas... that is one SCARRRRRRRY picture.

Lavar isn't 100% yet. I watched him at the game and he was walking around very gingerly (if that's even possible). Him breaking through that double team was extremely impressive but I didn't notice much else. I havn't seen the game on TV yet, just in person.

I saw a couple of running plays to his side where he reacted too quickly (didn't stay home) and got caught in traffic when the play bounce outside.

He looks 3/4 speed to me. I wonder where he really is in his recovery?

I live in Dallas and we don't want him. He should be a Bengals fan because he matches them.

Lonestar looks like Opey from The Andy Giffith.....if he let himself go started turning tricks got strung out on crack and model airplane glue and became a carney!

He counts 5.421 million against our cap this year so thats about 347k per game.

He made one tackle against the Bears, man thats an expensive tackle. We need to get some huge plays from him, not tackles. Sacks...INT's...forced fumbles....injured QB's....something more than just tackles.

I know he is coming back from an injury, let him slide with 1 more medicore week, he should be in "football shape" after the bye week. No excuses then......

C'mon Whistle, you know that is not right. Lonestar is way to young to be that guy, he must be the offspring of the banjo kid and his sister.

nice but to much info for me

lets hope he slows williams down a bit as portis crawls in there with him!!

During the first half at some point he was slow to get off his block and missed a tackle of the running back. If he were 100% back he would have made the play. So, he's still got a way to go.

You're going to have to give him more than that! He's still a half a season away, at least. In fact, he may well not be all the way back until next year!

I like Lavar and I was really impressed with the piece on Comcast about him giving $200.00 gift cards to two busloads full of hurricane refugees.

That said I wonder how bad (privately of course) that the organization would like to be able to get out of his contract.

That is one area where it will still take years to undo all the Snyder damage that was done before JG's return.

I think LaVar's new deal was struck while Gibbs was here. You can't blame management for injuries either way. LaVar had no previous injury concerns and had shown glimpses of being a playmaker and was/is a superior talent. Once he gets back to full speed, we will all be glad he is here.

No, the new deal was done weeks before Gibbs retuned. Gibbs has said whenever that came up that this was before he got there.

The deal was done in haist and done to push back a salary cap mess before the end of the season. Under the original deal Lavar would have to be released by now. What they did in hindsite was bury themselves deeper though.

I like him and his talent, but I said to a friend at that time that he was not worth Ray Lewis money. I don't know who the highest paid LB in the league is now, but it shouldn't be Lavar.

He should be making about the same as Washington.

Arrington had made 3 pro bowls in his first 4 years, if he makes 2 more he is free to get out of his contract or we can throw him another 3.25 million. We'll see what we think then.

I do agree about how his and most recently, Samuels, contracts were done at the 11th hour to save money but create potential problems for the future. Those guys have been here for 5 years and are both on their 3rd contracts.

There is NO better time for Lavar to step up than on MNF.
Let's go baby, stick it to Bleedslow and (Who)lius Fumble Jones.

Lavar use to just roam the field for victims. Now he is in a system that works, but he has to be disciplined. He will flourish but it could take some time.. When he is down in a four point stance, I feel that he doesn't get off the line quick enough. He needs to be on the line standing upright, just like LT did in NY. He could become our most effective pass rusher.
