Im still wondering who this guy(morton) is!

And whose spot did he take?

Morton was added to Atlanta's active roster, not the Redskins. And Byrd was signed to replace his spot on the Practice squad.

Defensive back Charles Byrd, waived by the Redskins on Aug. 29, was signed to the practice squad yesterday, replacing Christian Morton, who was signed to Atlanta's active roster.

Obviously the coaches wanted to move in a different direction.... I thought he looked good against Minnesota, but maybe he didn't work hard over the offseason??? Whatever the reason, I think that ship has sailed.

out of curiosity, does any one know where all these practice squad guys live? I mean, you cant expect these guys to keep moving every few weeks as they are waived and signed by one team after another. Do they just chill at home until they are put on the active roster, or does the team put them up somewhere?

Where a player lives is on them. If they get signed off of a practice squad to an active roster, then they have to move. I suspect they live in a lot of hotel rooms and rented houses, with month to month leases.

You gotta wonder if Danny is going to invest in tract housing near fed ex for rotational players like practice squaders and charge them rent. Next a Redskins.com feature with live feeds from the PS house.
