"Don’t be shocked if Redskins C Larry Moore is pushed out of the starting lineup by rookie Derrick Dockery or veteran Lennie Friedman. Those players are strictly guards, so projected OLG Dave Fiore (whose preference is to play at left guard) would then move to center."

Man, they must be down on Moore.

Good find Mark. Some interesting things being said about other teams and players as well.

I don't care anymore who is starting on the oline as long as it is our 5 best. I just wonder how Fiore will react since he really wanted to play guard and was one reason he signed here, but hey you still get paid so shut up and play center if need be :D :D

Amen, the best line is all I care about.

As long as Fiore can handle the ball and develop a relationship with Ramsey under center, then injecting new blood in the line up sounds good to me...... The word relationship sounds a little weird in that context. Oh well.

True... I agree!:D

My wife likes to discredit the Tight End position title on a few guys as well.

I like the idea of sitting Moore...I wasn't pleased with him last year...but I still say Johnson should start over Dockery.

Moore is a good center that would be even better with good guards around him like he would have this year. Fiore came here to play guard not center so I'm hoping that the team doesn't start Dockery this season. I'd rather not piss off Fiore and also want as much experience on the line as possible for Ramsey.
Unless Dockery absolutely blows everyone away in camp and preseason.

More interesting is the CBSSportsline.com "July14-Redskins Inside Slant" that predicts a Watson-Canidate battle for the last RB spot, the last! AND they hint Watson will win.

And here I thought we were going to agree on something finally and you go and throw that last bit about Dockery into the mix.
I say Dockery should be given the chance to earn the starting job in camp.

Anything about the Silver and Black?

of course he should be given the chance...I don't think anyone deserves to be there over someone else without being a better player.
Johnson will beat him in camp.

If Fiore can play center move him that way we have the best 5 players on the line.

Tre over Dockery is a mistake IMO. Tre won't last the entire season starting from day one, I think its better we go w/ giving the young guy some experience so long as he can do the job and according to everything out of redskins park he can. That way we keep Tre fresh in case something like R.Thomas goes down .

I don't know what cbssportsline is smoking if they think Trung is fighting for the last spot before camp even starts.

I agree Emmanouel8, Tre is an excellent backup. Nothing more at this point in his career.

Dockery can learn a lot from the sidelines. He's goingto be smoked by the NFL talent if he's just thrown in. Let Johnson start and be a good guard...then when / if he goes down, then just maybe Dockery will be ready.
I can't believe you guys are all for a guard STARTING when all scouts said he needed some seasoning before he could "possibly become a good guard."

Jsarno, did they put a rookie Jensen on the sidelines? Did they put a rookie Samuels on the sidelines? Did they get 'smoked' as rookies? Jensen was a 2nd rounder, I'm sure the scouts all said he needed 'seasoning.'

Nobody learns on the sidelines better then they do on the field. The coaches saw Jensen and Samuels play at a high level as rookies and I trust they see the same thing in Dockery. If rookies can come right in and play tackle then surely we can find one that can play guard. Start him.

We have to start the best 5 and if Dockery is one of those 5 then start him, if Tre starts abd Fiore is moved to center that is fine but it has to be our best 5. I think Moore might be getting a bad rap. He pretty much had 2 bad guards playing besides him. With Fiore and Thomas besides him he might just be able to play center and not left and right center if you know what I mean

this is where your arguement gets thin! Samuels was a top notch can't miss prospect, and Jansen was projected as a first rounder. He was also slated to start by the scouts. PLUS we NEEDED tackles, not like the abundance of guards we have now. And Dockery was not picked by anyone to be a starter out of the gate. I think you guys are a little bias on this one.
ps- it's not like we kicked anyone's ass with those tackles at first either. We have a team that could go all the way...we need all the talent we have on that field.

Nobody learns on the sidelines better then they do on the field.

Not saying that, never said that. But he could learn a lot from watchign because he's not ready to start. Throw a guy that's not ready in, and the line is weak! I would expect you guys to understand this.

If the man is the GOD that you think he is, then we should have no problem (and why was he not taken first round????)

Nah, I rthink Dockey will prove to be a steal liek Jansen was in the second round. This kid has so much potential and size. He will win the job based on the best performance in camp.

Thin my a$$. That's the whole point Jsarno, we have other options and can afford to wait until midseason to put him in yet the coaching staff is impressed w/ something about him to where they'd move Fiore to center after promising him to play at guard and bump a vet out of the line-up.

I don't know why he wasn't taken in the 1st round, how many lineman were taken in the 1st two rounds anyways. He was ranked high on our list thats all that matters. Why was Jensen not drafted in the 1st round, who cares?!

FYI Jensen shut down Strahan twice his rookie season. The 2nd time they matched up that year Strahan was going after him and he still got shut down.
