So who will be the Skins starters in next months Madden?

Madden 2004 comes out next month so they do not have the luxury of waiting till training camp is over...who do you think the starters for our team will be?
Mine go like this...

QB Ramsey
RB Trung
WR Coles
WR Gardner
WR Jacobs
TE Flemister
G Fiore
T Jansen
C Moore
G Thomas
T Samuels

I think they wont have time to put Dockery in there and I think the otheer WR are not high profile enough for them to put anyone but Jacobs. I have no idea how the hell they are gonna do the defense hehe. Except the LB's and CB's.

That sounds pretty good. I think the preliminary team rankings have already come out. I think we definitely should get hR madden players to play each other online and we can hold tourneys and talk trash on the board.

That would be sweet..you know the PlayStation2 version will be the only one that you can go online with this year. It will aslo let you use the Headset so you can acutally talk to the person while playing!

Ya'll are dead !! I have a PS2 and I plan on getting Madden2004 in August, but I need high internet and the adapter internet thing that connects the PS2 online for you.

I'm sure they won't give the Skins the credit they deserve this coming season. The thing to do is take the Skins and build 1 bad ass player (100 overall) on offense & defense and then your set.

I bought an adaptor, only to find out that my cable access is only hooked up to one outlet where the computer is, nowhere near a tv...I need to figure out some way and get it hooked up so I can stomp you guys....actually I suck and I'd be in last place if we had a league...

bfauble83, go to your nearest Circuit City or "mom and pop" electronics store, whatever is close. Tell them your situation and they will be able to hook you up. Sounds like all you need is an "A/B switch", some extra cable and possibly an adapter to convert "phone line" to cable. Not sure, I dont have an adapter for my PS2 yet, no high-speed in the land of fire and ice...:banghead:

I can't believe that any of you think you can beat me in Madden. I have been playing Madden for over 10 years, this newest game will be dominated by me just like all of the rest. I welcome a challenge of a Redskin only league. Bring it On.

I am too, and I've seen some pics from the ESPN (new name)2k4 game. It is gonna be sweet. I'm actually more excited about that then Madden. Honestly, I enjoyed 2k3 more then I did Madden 03. Do you play online? hail2skins has the XBOX online and I'm thinking about getting it shortly.

ive been playing since it was only avaliable on sega genesis!

you guys have never lost until you have lost to a girl! lol. just ask my brothers! im a the queen of madden around these parts! my PS2 broken:cry: but i'll be sending it to the SONY company to get it fixed in time for 2004 to come out! this thread poses a good question. aside from the skins, who is your squad on madden?

Sounds like the competition will be pretty stiff. Rskins, I've heard that 2k3 was about as good as madden 03, but reading about 04, I really don't think there is a way for 2k4 to match it. Xbox won't have online, so you'd miss out on me beating you!:sfight:

Hell I have been playing Madden since the very first one..I remeber it did not have the NFL license so the Skins were just called Washington. Randall Cunningham was a God in that first one for some reason.

i'm content with my XBox, which is definitely a drag not having online capabilites with EA Games (which i too have played for years and years...all the way back to John Madden Football 93), but for me, the essence of playing on a hard level against the CPU is enough for me. NCAA just came out, so this weekend, i'll be making the yearly trade of previous year's games for it....

but madden will conquer playing time for a long while once i get my hands on it...

I have a cousin that hooked his PS2 up for online gaming and he has dial up. The "Official" adapter has connections for broad band and dial up.

I don't think that the roster will be that important when the game first comes out because they will be allowing people to download the updated rosters as the season progresses.

I am not currently living in my own crib. (getting one built) but I will be online before the season is over.

I play online...but there are PLENTY of cheaters out there. Apparently EA Sports has upgraded their online section to thwart cheaters.

THe best games played are against the people you know. I've had some good battles against Keino...(Although I have yet to win one. :mad: )

YEah its the device has for both dial up and broadband but for Madden 2004 you have to have broadban.

i said aside from the redskins because i play my brother mostly and neither of can stand to play against the redskins, so we dont play with them. that may sound kinda crazy but i also have never played with cowboys, ravens or eagles because i hate those teams. when i play the CPU, im ALWAYS the redskins.

....i have played NFL 2K, 2K2 and 2K3 and i definitely like madden over all of those. thats JMO....

I've heard a lot of bad things about playing on line. Like, if you're not playing someone you know, and you are killing them, they'll just quit and you won't be able to play any longer.

I like Madden over all other games. But, that doesn't mean that I'm any good. I'm like bfauble. If I were to play someone, I'd be killed or in last place...

I think you are swaying me back to my 2K days... I haven't played Madden since i had a Genesis... maybe i'll make my brother buy one for his X-box...

I can't wait till they both come out, I've heard a lot about the new options in Madden. Both will be sweet, just a matter of prefrence... I'd love to see some of you online

(oh, about what teams i use... always start with the skins... then after that game i play against the skins so that when I'm learning, if i lose, it's a'ite cuz Champ took one back on me)

Good advice seeway. Also, if the adaptor goes to the cable internet service, then you can probably go with a router as well. A router allows you to put multiple devices (computers, etc...) on one internet connection. I do that for my Xbox. Here is how the connections go.

I have DSL via Verizon and it uses my phone line. From the wall, the phone jack goes into the DSL modem. The modem then goes to my router via an ethernet cable and the router goes to my computer via an ethernet cable as well. So I can actually hook up for computers to my DSL line. So my computer and my Xbox is plugged into the router.
