In truth, there is not much difference between this year's 3-0 team and last year's 6-10 squad. The games are close because the defense is good. The offense is actually averaging fewer points (14.3) than last year's incredibly inept attack (15.0). It's only that Brunell and newcomer Moss have been able to make a few big plays - barely enough to scrape by.

"Last year was so hard for us," Gibbs said. "We couldn't get a big play, like we've had in these games, when we had to have it."

The three wins - by two points, one points and three points - have given the Redskins confidence and even a little swagger that can snowball into something special, the way it happened with those Mets and Wolfpack all those years ago. Even the fans who can't stand Snyder would be hard-pressed to resist embracing such a run.

But the Redskins are also walking on thin ice.

That's the article in a nutshell, very well written and objective, I'm impressed.

I agree, and also I think the only real difference is we have WRs that can catch and get open.

We have shown more improvement on offense in each game. I expect this to continue as Patten becomes more of a threat as well. Portis will start scoring too. I'm also waiting for Jacobs to become a factor as he is involved in more plays.

The one trend that scares me though is that each time our offense scores more points, our defense gives up more points. I understand that each team's offense was better than the last, but it is something to look at as well.

Seattle really has a good offense though. Much better than Dallas or Chicago. Not only that but they played well. At that jet lag talk by Terry Bradshaw was BS. Sean Alexander ran hard but he didn't have the holes he had against the Falcons. Hassebeck passed the ball well and the WR's actually caught the passes. Engram/Jackson played well and we still beat them. Plus our defense was without our #2 CB, Prioleau, and Sean Taylor for that drive. No worries that we didn't have before (pass rush). Hopefully, Lavar can make a difference there.
