Enjoy! Thanks to DJ for a great look at the numbers

Coming from an Accountant, these are some really good numbers to look at. I like the fact that we're really including Cooley in the passing game. We're becoming a formidable offense and will be a force to be reconed with from here on out.

Nice work dj_stouty, very interesting.

As to the last paragraph in the KC preview, lets hope Gonzo stays quiet for one more week, he scares me more than anyone else on that team.

Looking over the stats got me wondering about TJacobs ...... he's back in hiding again I see.

Excellent dj. I love stats. I'd love to see how we rank league wide on the all important 3 and out stat. I love what Coach Gibbs is doing with this team. The ball control control mentality on both sides of the ball is allowing us to sustain these long 4th quarter drives and keep our O and D operating at peak efficiency. Now, if we can only get our Special Teams on the same page...

Dante Hall scares me the most...then comes Gonzo. Both are considered best at what they do....

Hall scares me because I know our special teams is our weakest unit and they have been known to give up long kick and punt returns in the past. Remember the Dallas game? Ugh...

I haven't seen so many long drives before! It is very refreshing to see what happens when you mix a bunch of "team" guys in with a little discipline and hard work.

Jacobs probably won't see playing time unless Moss, Patten or Thrash gets hurt. Moss and Patten are our studs...and Thrash is a favorite of Gibbs. There are only so many balls to go around and Gibbs also reserves a decent percentage to his TEs and FBs.

One quick note: I found it very interesting that Sellers has TWO passing targets this year and both have been for TDs. Talk about being efficient!

Great stuff DJ. The stats have definetely improved this year. It already feels like Brunell has more passing yards this season than all last year combined. We need to create more turnovers, have more big runs, and be able to consistently punch the ball in the endzone.

I said all last season that what we needed (rather just hey throw deep more) is to move the chains. That is the only reason why I kinda wanted Mike Williams in the draft because I was scared to death that we had a team that wouldn't consistently get first downs.

Congrats to Brunell and the offense for coming up so strong!

The highlight of the game for me was seeing Brunell and the O smiling and laughing. They really seem comfortable with the offense now.

Yeah that was sweet. I think they are finally buying into Joe Gibbs system and playcalling allowing them to feel more comfortable. That tends to happen when the ball is actually moved.

I love that stat write up you do- fantastic job once again :)

Speaking of stats did anyone see the one they flashed up in the Monday night game? It should the avg QB rating after a defender had made contact with them vs avg QB rating of not being touched. It was remarkable to see the night and day difference. It was also funny to see how Big Ben was better after contact??? WTF???

It's amazing how good our D has been given we don't look like the same team this year. To do as well as we have without getting sack or turnovers really says something about our tackling ability (I hate saying that after Bell ran those TDs but all in all it's still true) and coverage.

Good point, I wasn't even thinking about Dante Hall. Someone said it earlier in another thread and I will echo it here, we need to punt the ball away from Hall or out of bounds and squib our kickoff's this week. I'll take giving them an extra 5-10 yards in field position versus having to chase Dante all over the field, especially the way our coverage has looked.

Makes you wonder if kicking it out of bounds and giving KC the ball on the 40 is a better choice than simply letting Dante Hall take a shot at the endzone. I've seen plenty of opposing KRs take the ball past our 30 frequently. What is another 7-8 yards going to do?

The Refs are notorious for looking the other way (or at Dante) on his kickoffs instead of pulling the flag for his teams blocking in the back. Hall is incredible...but he has certainly got help in the past on several of those run backs. Maybe the refs are too busy watching Dante in amazement to realize? ;)

I missed that, but I wouldn't be happy seeing anyone on the team laughing and smiling during/after a loss. I want guys to have fun, but we were losing the entire game. So I'm not sure I like that at all.

Dante is a waterbug Rich. I've had him on my fantasy team for the last three years. I think it was the year before last he had that stretch of games where he was returning kicks for TDs. Teams finally caught on and stopped kicking to him. I couldn't blame them and it worked.

Watching him return one against Philly last week made me wonder why anyone would want to kick to him.

He is a definate X factor and we should avoid him at all costs.
