Just as the Eagles were anticipating the return of defensive end Jerome McDougle to the practice field came news of a serious setback to the young man: McDougle underwent surgery on Monday and will remain out of action indefinitely.
The Eagles Monday announced that McDougle underwent emergency surgery on Monday afternoon to correct an internal hernia due to adhesions and scar tissue from his previous surgery following his gunshot wound in July.

Heard that on the radio yesterday. It really doesn't hurth the Iggles much b/c he hasn't played much to date in his career. I wish the guy a speedy and full recovery and the best of health. I can't imagine how frustrating and scary it must be to go on the IR because you were shot.

I as well wish him the best but we need to keep injuries from hurting our chances against Philly,
We need a little depth in defensive backfield so we can pressure Manning and McNabb. Hopefully
WITH LaVar.

Ok, this is not a Lavar thread.
This really is a shame for McDougle. To be shot and then have complications is never easy to go through, especially when you thought it's over and done with. While I've never been shot, I have had more than one operation from the same problem, and it really does suck.

this really is bad for mcdougle. the man just never gets a chance to prove what he can do. he's never gotten on the field much. whenever they talk about philly's great drafts, they alwyas seem to ignore mcdougle, or the next coming of mamula. and how's william joseph doing in NY?
