Here's the problem, its the fourth quarter and were up by a couple pionts. If were going to run time off of the clock, we must .....run the ball. Can these two (betts/morton) handle this load, say in windy chicago late in the season?

Iknow our coach wants a throw then run offense, thats fine and i'm alright with letting S. Davis go. I just don't want to see ramsey having to find someone to go to and get picked off/lose the ball and we lose the game.

Maybe R. cartwright or B. Jonson will fill this gap also, I miss the days of george rogers or a G. Riggs.

I think Betts will be able to get the short yardage if need be. He showed flashes of last year. Of course though, thats one of the things that we'll have to wait and see. As long as Betts don't fumble the ball in crucial situations, I'd be happy.

Betts and watson would be best in situations in which u need to run the clock down

Betts fills that bill imo. He seems like given time he can be a bruiser.

Riggs was huge!

I am sure Betts can handle it as well, but that is assuming that Spurrier will run the ball.

i think betts can definitely handle the job of grinding out yards at the end of the game but if its up to spurrier, none of our leads will be within reach for the opposing team! i truly do believe that spurrier has learned his lesson, that he needs to be more balanced with the run and pass to win games in the NFL, potent passing game or not. plus if our O Line is as improved as we all believe it will be, the holes will be bigger and spurrier wont hesitate to run in the final minutes.

Yeah, I think Watson and Betts handled those duties very well at the end of last season. The question is will Spurrier feel comfortable with a lead of only a couple points?

I would like to see Rock get the ball at the goal line. I just hope it is not Ramsey sneaking many over. But then again we moight not have many goal line shots if we air it out and no one can catch Coles. :D
