Well, it's almost Halloween and Portis has an eccentric style anyway.

Sorry to break up this thread, bu i don't have enough post to start my own thread. THis idea goes with the videos on redskins.com

If you notice in the 4 videos (Gibbs, brunell, portis, Williams) are all sayin' they are BIAS when saying what there opinion of each of the players are.

Is it just me or was this lacking before gibbs. The sense of team and community wasn't here before gibbs. everybody is higher on each other then in recent years (i know winning can do with it, but we didn't hear it in the first 2 weeks of spurrior year 2. when we won those first 2 games.)

Maybe i'm reading to much into things..what you think?

I think that's what you get when you hire Gibbs. He is a great coach precisely because he assembles great teams. Teams full of individuals, yes, but teams first and individuals second. Portis is a character -- like Riggins in many ways -- but they both know the value of team.

Gibbs did this when he built the Redskins in Gibbs 1.0, he did it in NASCAR and now he's doing it again in Gibbs 2.0. Aside from being a brilliant tactician, he's an excellent motivator. He know who he needs, not just what he needs. He'll quite often forego the more talented player for the more coachable one. After 1-1/2 years, he's just starting to get over that hump to make this team a contender. And he knows it, which is why he's been so short with the league and the media. I think he can taste how close we are, even if he'll never let the fans or the media in on the little secret.

LOL, maybe you can wear jeweler's glasses like CP too, lol. Those were just too far out. CP is one of a kind.

Keepin it loose, I like it.
People may take it like "look at me im clinton" but I think he is just trying out the old adage "Clinton being Clinton". Its all in good fun, remember they play a game for a living.
I like it, Keep it loose, have fun and Score a friggen TD Clinton!!!

What amazes me is how great Riggo looks in that picture! He looks like he could suit up again and play today.

Of course, he'd probably be knocked into oblivion within the first couple plays, but still...

I LOVE him! He totally just made my day, he is so hilarious. The part where the reporter asked him if he could get Brunell to wear a wig and he said he already was because he is balding.. classic. And the messing with SF players' wives stuff.. :lol1:

I knew Portis was crazy(in a brilliant way) when he showed the "firemans pole" in his basement during that episode of Cribs.

he said he wanted to lighten things up so the media didn't get stuck on his lack of trips to the end zone.......pretty clever

What don't you think it's admirable he always wanted to be a fireman? :p
