Potential of Ramsey taking on the passing characteristics of Daunte C?

Tell me if i am wrong but i see another forthcoming of Culpepper with respect to arm strength, certainly not run capabilities. Because was Culpepper a 2nd year phenomenon with little or no previous gametime experience? I don't know if you guys remember that but i think if that is the case then, Coles certainly will serve and serve well the Moss role that year but, ahem, with better character. Tell me what you guys think but i can see this being the case this season primarily with this great new offensive line to deal with... I can't wait for the season to start. Well tell me if my memory is not failing me cause I am only 20 and that would be a bad thing plus you guys know a lot more than i do.

I can't remember if DC came right in and started for the Vikings or not. I seem to think that he sat out a year while Cunningham was the QB. But I'm not sure either.

he sat behind Jeff George I believe and then his first start was the second season, when Jeff was here I believe. AS long as he just throws like DC, I do nont want him running in 10 touchdowns from the one, let the Rock take that role

Dante is an interesting comparision--- who i actually compare Pat to (in my head cuz people would laugh) is Manning. There are a lot of similarities. One that sticks out is how into the game they are. They take a very cerebral approach to the game and they seem to harp on the little things that make a good QB great-- like a proper head rotation on a play-action. I remember that Pat has talked to Peyton about leadership and such.

I don't mean to call out Cullpepper, he's good, but that year that he had as a second year player was unreal. That Minn offense was just like i play sega sports, roll out and deep.

The only problem with Manning is he could never win the big one. Im not certain he ever will... chokes in big games.

I have no idea what to expect from Ramsey. He's got a nice arm, but so did Jim Everett. He needs to be a lot more accurate.

I'm not expecting miracles from Ramsey this year, I just want to see improvement. They've put a good Oline in front of him and surrounded him with offensive weapons. He has to take advantage of that now. I believe he will

I have a hard time conceptualizing a comparision of Ramsey and C.Pepp. Especially since Culpepper has 2 inches of height and 43 pounds on Ramsey.

I also think Ramsey is similar to Manning. They are both pocket passers, who are students of the game.

BTW - I think Manning gets a bad rap. In his 5 years in the league, he has NEVER missed a game, and has helped his offense average a 7th overall offensive ranking in that timespan. I blame a lot of Indy's problems on their D. In the same 5 year timespan, the Indy D has averaged 22nd overall defensively. To boot...he has a 62% passing completion in his career and has FOUR straight seasons of 4,100 passing yards or more.

You got it right! Manning is not a "super" (no pun intendned) QB, yet. But remember, all QB's have to deal with the line and the Defense - theirs and their opponents.
I hope Ramsey develops the good points that Manning has shown and establishes his "own" QB style so in the future people will be comparing up and coming QB's with Patrick Ramsey

When I think of whom Ram could be like, I think of Bledsoe. A pure pocket passer guy with laser powered weoponry. A guy that can get the ball down field and rack up lots of yards. Say what you will about Bledsoe getting forced out of NE, but if Ram (also #11) can have comparable production on this team, we've got ourselves an exciting team consistently headed for the playoffs.
