If you all could please list your gaming system, which football game you prefer (and envision picking up in a couple of weeks), and if you are planning to play online--- maybe we can coordinate something...
- I have a PS2 (access to an Xbox though)
- I'm a fan of the 2K series (but i might switch to madden or pick up both depending on how this works out)
- I have to buy the PS2 adapter, but i have broadband, so everything should be gravy.
Look forward to hearing from all of you and... (well i shouldn't try to talk any smack until i at least play the game...)
:D
Oh, and if this works better as a poll, maybe it should be posted like that??

I have:
* The PS2
* PS2 Online adapter with cable modem
I will have:
* Madden 2004 as soon as it hits the stores.
I played a little bit of Madden online last season, but I prefer playing with people I know. Count me in if you are intersted in playing.

I play NFL2K3 online on PS2 and Xbox live (gamertag = skinnay). The league that I play in http://users.ev1.net/~kawika/nfl2k3/index.htm may have a few openings pretty soon. (Sorry, I already have the Skins).

I have PS2. But, like Skins57 I have dial up service. But, I'll be getting Madden probably around a month after it comes out.

Me too.
People with dial-up can play as well, but the connection tends to be a bit choppy.
Bfauble, a router will solve your problem. PM me if you would like more info. My Cable Modem is upstairs and my ps2 in in my basement.

Xbox and Madden and yes online access with Xbox Live.
I hear 2k4 is supposed to give Madden a run for its money. I'm sure my source will chime in hear.
Here is a link to some info on 2k4. It includes screenshots if you scroll down.

Keino, do you know how much the adaptor costs? Or, does anyone know how much the adaptor is for PS2?
Thanks in advance.

XBox
I usually play nothing but EA games, because IMO, they are tops...
I'll be trading up here shortly for the '04 versions of Madden and NCAA (as well as Tiger Woods, FIFA, and perhaps getting NHL this year)
i dont play online because i usually dont have time to play anyways...
bfauble...easiest thing to do would be to get a wireless router and a wireless access point. if you have someone you know who can run wires in your house, perhaps they could help you get a hard line from the router to the PS2...
at compusa.com, there is a wireless router for 30 bucks (after rebate), and the wireless ethernet adapter (access point) is 85 bucks (both by SMC Networks)...i personally have a Linksys router and Linksys PCI Network card on my PC...
all the configuration stuff comes with the supplies, and is pretty straight forward...

NFL fever is not worthy of caring Maddne's or NFL2's jockstrp. Do yourself a favor. Take that game and trade it in and get either nflk or madden. You wont be sorry.
