Good article. It sounds like Coughlin really respects us...I can only hope that respect will grow after we beat them on Sunday.

Great article. Gibbs does a great job in getting the right players. I hope when he is done coaching, he stays on as director of player personnel.

Gibbs has done an unbelievably good job turning this team around. I also couldn't agree with anything more than this statement:

That's the thing about Joe, he's always been able to get the most out of his guys.

Up until now, I have not been enamored with Gibbs as a GM. I keep thinking back how he pushed to trade two first rounders to move up and pick Desmond Howard.

But, since Coach Gibbs' return, the GM moves have been nothing short of outstanding.

Free agents:

A+: Shawn Springs, Cornelius Griffin, Marcus Washington

B+: Casey Rabach

B: Ryan Clark, Walt Harris, Joe Salavea

C+: Pierson Prioleau, Brandon Noble, Omar Studamire, David Patten, Philip Daniels, Warrick Holdman

Trades:

A+: Santana Moss

A: Mark Brunell

B+: Clinton Portis

B: James Thrash (I am beginning to see the error of my ways)

Draft:

A+: Shaun Taylor

A: Carlos Rogers, Jason Campbell (projected)

B+ Chris Cooley

I doubt many GMs have had this good a run in less than 2 years. I also think Vinny Cerrato desires some of the credit. I presume that Coach Gibbs does not have the time to fully scout and evaluate all the players and that Vinny undoubtedly provides much of the background information gathering and leg work. Despite some misses in the lower rounds of the draft, it is looking like the Redskins are establishing a well-run front office.
