Due to the atrocious play and embarrassing shutout of the Washington Redskins today, NO ONE will be awarded the MVP of the Week this sunday. I hope I never have to do this again. Honorable mention for the MVP of the week goes to Ryan Clark, Demetric Evans and Lemar Marshall. They played decently, so they will get some sort of mention. Please vote for the Player of the WEAK

*Ray Brown
*Walt Harris
*Robert Royal
*Chris Samuels
*The Entire Defense
*The Entire Offense
*The Entire Team
*Other

i went with samuels. i didn't catch the first 22 minutes of the game and he got hurt pretty early, and i still saw him get beat more than a "probowl" left tackle should in any game.

i voted defense but my vote was for holdman, all those runs were to his side in the first half, he was never in position...why don't we play lavar?

there are so many individuals that could be on this list, but i wanted to pinpoint a few guys that stood out to me. thats why i put the entire offense and defense up there. just an awful game. awful.

Betts and Royal should be forced to turn in their playbooks on Monday...Hell they shouldn't even be allowed back on the team bus. Give them their walking papers and make them hitchhike home...

But by the time they made their mistakes, the game was over...Walt Harris was horrendous. Gregg Williams needs to figure some s--- out, because the last 3 teams with offenses we have played (NYG, Den, KC) have been able to make BIG plays whenever they needed.

I think you're being too kind. As Voltaire said: It pays to shoot an Admiral every now and again to encourage the others.

No point in singling out one player, the entire team was absolutely dreadful.

I singled out Robert Royal because he's terrible. But the OLine play was probably the worst I've ever seen.

For me it starts w/the boys up front. The offensive and defensive lines did a horrible job today. But I voted offensive because the offensive line was HORRIBLE!! I can't remember a game where one team was dominated from the first play from scrimmage like this.

nobody better get kudos. this team didn't show up. losing, i can handle... i handled all last year, but what i don't understand is giving up and not even playing. they all stink.

The answer should be the whole team, but if I was to pick one it would be Greg Williams. He was tooting his horn last year when the critics told him he couldn't stop the run with that front 4, and he did. What now GW?

Lavar isn't good enough to play on a defense that gives up 250 yards rushing? When they are running right at the side he would be playing?

past tense. the eagles seem to be mounting the comeback we couldn't manage thanks to chump. Let's hope the broncos can hold out.

The Defensive Line gets my vote they did nothing against the pass and were blown up against the run.

The only guy that showed a pulse out their was Demetric Evans.

Why exactly aren't we starting Demetric Evans? He had more of an impact than most of the guys on the defense.

I voted "other". I think this one falls squarely on the coaches. It is their job to get players ready to play and that was clearly not done. Gibbs took responsibility for the loss because that's the kind of man he is and also because it's true.

Royal's basics haunted him more than Halloween, I chose him as a individual, but face it. The entire team, the once again mystery plays stunk it up. I won't talk about this game again, because it is a burp for the team and JG/GW. I bet you never see it again, at least not this season!

We ran at Lavar too. Just a bad day for the Redskins all around. Happens sometimes. We got killed by San Diego but bounced back and Washington will as well. You have some good defenders and they kept it close for almost a half, but eventually wore down. Offensively, you didn't seem to have any intensity and the few times you did mount a challenge you had some drops and big plays against you. I still expect a dogfight in the division the whole way.
Good luck to the Skins the rest of the way(except our next meeting of course)and kick some Eagle ass! Anyone before Dallas and Philly! lol

Very hard to choose between Daniels,Samuels, Royal.....But I choose Samuels because I get pissed every time some one beats him and I think about his salary...lol..

I have a new theory though.....Is it conicidence that P.Daniels and C. Sameuls practice against each other every week and they never seem to play at a higher level...

Samuels goes up against possibly the worst DE in the league everyday in practice and gets to the game and cant believe the speed and strength of some these guys...That theory could actually apply all across the line....

Maybe Snyder can pay the league leaders of the D-line to come practice with our O-line in the offseason so the can get a better feel for a REAL d-line......

I agree, he's way overated. The only good play he contributed to this year was when he threw a block on that 78 yd screen pass to Santana againt the Chefs.

I had to vote D on this one because I think if it wasn't for the defense the Offense wouldn't have had to go into 90% pass freakout mode.

I have to agree, all the time the defense spent on the field, maybe we were fortunate to only let them score 36 points! You can't blame the doughnut on the D.

I had to vote team for this week. We were just all around weak Sunday, On offense: no holes for Portis to run through dropped passes poor protection
On Defense: amazingly huge holes the hardest part for tiki was chosing one to run through, and the wide recievers open all day poor secondary coverage. But i believe it was a fluke and were comin' to play against the Eagles.

Eli only had 150 yards passing 50% completions, so I think the passing defense did ok most of the game defending Plex and Schockey. Our pass defense is currently number 1 by the way. It was our pathetic run defense and lack of execution on tackles that hurt us.

thats the one thing the defense did well besides redzone defense, was the passing defense. and you cant say eli's numbers were low because the giants run game was so effective. he attempted 31 passes and only completed 12 of them for less than 150 yards.

150 yards passing on less then 50% completion on Eli Manning. That sounds like a successful day to me! His only TD was to Shockey about 2 yards out of the endzone. I think the Lavar missed that tackel too:(
