....to play in the new Baseball Cathedral that is to be New Busch Stadium. The Nats will be the third of three teams to come to St. Louis on the Cardinals 10 game homestand that will christen New Busch Stadium.

If you haven't see any renderings of the stadium or construction photos, I urge you to check them out. It is going to be a stadium for the ages....possibly exceeding the Ballpark in Arlington and Oriole Park when the first opened.

Or this could just be the opinion of a highly biased Cardinals fan.

What were they thinking not putting a hill and two flag poles in play? Why no giant eyesore of a wall?

I have it on good word that the ownership group of the Cardinals, headed by Bill DeWitt Jr, was emphasizing Ballpark more than Themepark when the winning design was awarded.

Speaking of walls, the old manually operated scoreboard will be coming to the new ballpark. It will be one of the outfield walls.

That's the old stadium, it's just like RFK.

IMO SBC and Citizen's Bank Park are better than both of those you mention. I hope to see the Cards new stadium be more on those levels. It's hard to beat the Bay Area View, even with a poor team. I also still tell those who say "it's like going to an old time ballpark", that they need to back to an older park (Fenway or Wrigley). There is nothing similar about it. But then again that's another subject :) Cheers on your new park!!!!
