I'm not a Flemister fan. I voted to put the younger cat, Royal, in there to start. Can't be any worse than what we had last season. Granted that Spurrier could care less about the position, but the play was still substandard.

Thanks Mark.

I too went with Robert Royal. Its all off of the potential that I've heard of him.

I went with Flemister because I think he's a pretty decent tight end and a known commodity. I have hopes for Royal, but I need to see something first. One or two good preseason games are nice, but not enough to convince me. Royal clearly has the most talent, but I want to see him earn the top spot first.

i voted for royal because flemister drops too many balls that he is supposed to catch. like hailyeah said, throw in the young guy to see what he can do. if they both do well, than thats even better for us.

I want Royal to get the starting spot...but I think it's Flem's job for one more year....

Royal is the best choice out of those 3. He had a high ankle sprain that put him on IR last year so its not like he as to overcome knee surgery or anything. He demonstrated excellent hands in the pre-season games, he got open (but were those 1st stringers on defense?) ... and he runs well with the ball. Flemister dropped a number of critical 3rd down conversion passes last season, and Leonard had couple glaring misses also. None of these guys comes across as a blocking TE, but as pass receivers go Royal is significantly better than the other two.

Yeah Royal actually seemed to have some burst when he caught the ball.

Royal looked very impressive in camp last season, and barring the injury that occurred, my bet is, he woudl have one the starting job last year. Royal has decent speed for a TE and even though the TE will nto play a major role in this offense, he has shown to have good hands. Flemister on the other hand has been disappointing last year with a few critical drops.
