Ok, no one has ever said anything, but I wondering about complimentary www.hailredskins.com t-shirts.
Maybe all members over 200 posts or something should get one to help promote the site.
(not sure if you have sponsors or anything, but I'm sure deals can be made with businesses to cover the costs.)
Just wondering if anything like that was happening, and putting in first dibs! :D

How about this for the T-Shirt Design?
*note - This has been sized down from an 8' x 8' file for display here. The full size is better quality.

Not unless you guys are planning to make money. You can make any shirt you want with any logo you want. Now if you guys want to make a profit, then it's a different story.

Great design Jporterweb......!
Does "profit" mean any economic gain over and above the actual cost of production and shipping and handling? If so, I'm in favor of anyone who wants one to pay just actual cost and s&h..........
just my 2 cents!

Well you could just call the amount a donation to the site, which is pretty much accurrate. :)

I like it!!!
What color would the shirt be?
jporterweb
08-15-2003, 08:42 AM
I would say the colors would be white or gray. I would also say that the design above is the back, and here is what I made for the front. It would be that size, and go in the upper left part of the shirt.

Quick question:
Are the 3 logos in a row in order of historical use from left to right or right to left?????
I know, sounds stupid................. but then again..............

Thanks for taking the initiative Jporter! Now, here is an issue. Logos. Legal troubles? Trademarks?

if you stick that Redskins helmet on the shirt you're begging for a lawsuit.

I don't believe so. My understanding was that as long as you weren't making a profit, you could put whatever you wanted on a shirt. I mean if you guys are planning to make a profit then sure, but I'll get a shirt made like that. They can't stop me. As long as I don't start selling them for profit.
If you wanted to make money, I'm pretty sure you could say "donate $20 and get a free shirt!" I think that would be legal. Can anyone look into the legal side? I'm reading Nolo.com. The looks of it are that we can use the logo as long as we are not confusing people that it belongs to us. I'll keep reading and trying to get more specifics.

Was thinking that myself.....if that happened, there would be no team. I've sent an email to Redskins.com asking them to help me with who I could contact within their offices, and I am also looking at the Trademark laws. From what I read, these T-Shirts would be held under the Fair Use law. As long as we don't use their information to further our business. Which this isn't a money making thing. We just want people to come. I am fairly certain it would be covered under that law.

Personally I would stay away from the use of the logo. I would use hR's logo instead.

Legal issues with their trademark. I remember asking them for its use once and they said no.

But we use it here (for instance top left corner right now has it). How come we can use it here, but not on T-Shirts, especially if it's non profit?
They'll never know!!! :lol1:
Besides, if you get caught, you can always blame Kenny! :D

I can understand that.
Does anyone know copy right laws? Like how come a musician can steal a song as long he changes it slightly? Or how can a care company make almost the exact same car, but change it slightly and it be ok?
Can we alter the redskins image slightly and do it that way?
