Zoo Hopes Animals Will Mate

CHIANG MAI, Thailand -- Hundreds turned out to celebrate the wedding of two giant pandas at a Thailand zoo Wednesday.

Officials are planning to have the two pandas, Chuang Chuang and his female partner, Lin Hui, start mating. But the zoo wanted them to be married first.

To celebrate the day, two mascots dressed as pandas and took the vows on behalf of the bears.

Thailand has rented the two pandas from China for 10 years and hopes the pair will be able to produce offspring.

So does that mean I can send a representative to my wedding instead of going there myself. I think that would save me a lot of time. I wonder where I could get a Moe costume from.

I wonder what they would think of the "turkey baster" method used here at the National Zoo to reproduce a Panda.
