Hi. I am new to this forum and I am a Jet fan. I was told of this forum by another 'Skins fan at another board. I come in peace, just to talk football, I got all my negative thoughts out throughout the offseason in my many battles w/Skins fans over your signing of half our roster. ;) I think even w/ the losses we suffered this offseason we'll be ok and still will fight for the division title and then some. I think you guys will be ok as well but it may take some time to come together w/ all the new faces so hopefully we are catching you at the right time in Week 1.

I guess I could tell you a little more about myself in case anyone cares. I have been following the Jets since I was practically an infant in the early 80s, I can remember as far back as 1981. I have lived and died(mostly died) w/ this team for over 20 years now. I have been to every home game since 1990(104 straight reg season games) and a handful of road games so I'm not some fairweather fan, I was one of a few who went to every game back during th very dark years of Carroll and Kotite and now I have been enjoying good football since 1997 and hopefully it continues again this year and beyond.

I never hated the 'Skins until this offseason and hopefully after our game I can go back to not hating you again. I despise the Giants(as I'm sure most of you do) so I've always rooted for you guys. I can't wait until Septmeber 4th, I'll be going down to FedEx to see the game and that's not good news for you as the Jets are undefeated in road games I have attended and they've been the underdog in each of the games(althought he VERY early line has the Jets as a favorite for this one).

Welcome nyjunc. Sounds like your Jets credentials are in order. Yes, I too hate the G-Men. Right behind the 'Boys in my book.

Opening night should be interesting. Its always tough to know what to expect in the first one. The turnover and penalty battles will be extra crucial. Hopefully Ram will be primed and ready and our D puts some pressure on Pennington.

How do you think your running back by committee with Martin/Jordan will work? Do you think they'll actually split the carries fairly equally?

No they won;t split carries. Curtis will get the bulk but I expect Lamont to get more carries than a year ago PLUS he should be getting alot of the touches that were lost when Richie Anderson left. As good a receiver as Richie was he rarely, if ever, made defenders miss so his recs were always short. Lamont can run you over or elude defenders so I'm anxious to see him get the ball on those short passes and turn them into bigger gains.

Just to let everyone know ....i was one of those Skins fans from the "other" board that caught all of his frustration about the Jets becoming the Skins farm team .....lol

Needless to say it got ugly , but like I say ...it is all in good fun ...getting the blood pumping for the season makes the games mean that much more ....Sept 4th can't come fast enough ...

Only 4 but they are 4-0 and were underdogs in each of the games. In '98 I went down to Miami on a Sunday Night as the clinched a playoff spot and the next Saturday up to Buffalo to watch them clinch the division. In '00 I went up to NE to wtach them thrash the Pats and in '01 I went down to New Orleans for a sunday nighter w. them(the Kyle Turley helmet ripping game). I was supposed to go to SD last year but couldn't but I think mu magic rubbed off anyway as we were big underdogs and w/ that huge win we turned around the season.

Welcome NYJUNC. Glad to have you over hear in the "friendly confines" of hailredskins.com. I think that I too might have been one of those skins fans who pointed you to this site. I have been making an awful lot of noise behind "enemy lines" over at the NYJETSFAN (IFS) site lately. It's all in fun, though. As I was saying over there, you guys probably HATE US far more than we hate you (due to our signing some of your key players), nonetheless, that September 4th game will be one for the ages. I do think that the JETS are going to have a hard time in their own division. Everyone looks good over there in the AFC EAST...........and if you ask me........THE BUFFALO BILLS LOOK DOWNRIGHT SCARRY (IMO)!!!!! ***SPEARFEATHER.........LOVE THE PICTURES OF THE CHEERLEADERS!!!!! Yeah baby!!!

...since the peepholes at the eagles stadium were found we don't know where to go to get any release...
...1906 don't tell me you're on that bills bandwagon as well...
...they will finish last in the division again ... unfortunately the fins will be our biggest competion again this season...
...of course we have taken 9 out of the last 10 from them... and with wandstedt at the helm they are sure to fold in december again...
