Same old story, free throws.

It's real competitve though and Gilbert is on freaking fire. The last second buzzer beater brings back memories :)

GILBERT WITH 43!!!! Oh man he's a beast!!! He's sooooooooooo good, OMG! One problem though, is his free throws... He missed as many free throws as he did field goals.

Yeah, but he is usually very solid from the line. No worries. Beautiful game by Gilbert. He made some unbelievable shots tonight.

Does anyone else want me to keep waiting tables during Wizards games? I'm on a hot streak. First 137 and now a AWESOME win against the defending NBA Champions.

Leading up to this game I knew that this would be a good gauge to let us know how far we need to go to play with the big boys. We might be a one of those big boys after this big big big win. These guys know what theyre capable now. Thats dangerous. Thats what winning teams do. Keep it up Wizards and keep MCI Center warm for me when I come on the 22nd.

Go Wizards!!!

Tim Duncan only made 3 field goals...can anyone who watched the game let me know if it was an off night for Timmy or if it was good Wizard defense.

Every shot he put up was heavily contested...and Gilbert straight murdered Bruce Bowen and Tony Parker...could've easily hit 50 but he just start passing...Cleveland and the traitor is up next:)

I saw Coach Jordan in the post game show and he credited the D for contributing heavily to Duncans off night. Every highlight they showed (and they showed about 7 or 8 shots) he was being harassed by the D.

Caron Butler is the real deal. I think it's safe to say we still have a Big Three on the Wiz with the energy he brings.

These last two wins have sent the league a message.

That's what impressed me...Bowen is their stopper and Gilbert abused him.

Unlike the baby Kwame I have no problem with Larry. He always played hard and was a solid guy for the Wiz. I think letting him leave was the right thing to do because resigning him at the going rate would have left the team with no room to maneuver under the cap. Not only do the Wiz look like a better team this year, but they probably can sign some players in the offseason.

I haven't watched any games this year. How is this team compared to last years? Is no Larry Hughes hurting them at all?

They are better than last year. This is the Washington Wizards v 2.0, a bit smaller and better :)

my goodness. you've GOT to be a good team after putting it down on the defending champs who are much improved themselves. the wizards but on a great display of basketball last night, shooting the ball efficiently and playing very good D. we have another good wizards team here guys, its going to be another fun season. :awesomewo

I wouldn't have expected the WizLets to be 5-1 right now with basically a new team. The chemistry have been building fast and we're only going to get better. Better defense, ball movement, shot selection, quick tempo, Arenas' continued improvement toward excellence, a good Coach and GM, this is going to be a good year.

It's fortunate that we play in the same division as the woeful Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Bobcats. Hopefully we can beat up on them some to pad our record. I don't think Miami can play at the pace that they did last year but things could change. We need to at least be .500 against them to show we mean business. Go Wizards!
