The only way for me to ease the pain after this disappointing loss is to make a prediction for the remainder of the season (btw I think this is the hardest loss to swallow in my recent memory).
Sunday, Nov. 20 vs. Oakland Raiders, W ( 6-4)
- Redskins come back to FedEx after a very disappointig trip to Tamba and beat the Raiders by 14 points.
Sunday, Nov. 27 vs. San Diego Chargers, L( 6-5)
- The Chargers snap Redskins' home winning streak by a strong offensive performance. SD wins by 7 in a high scoring game
Sunday, Dec. 4 @ St. Louis Rams, L ( 6-6)
- The Rams' aerial assault is way too much for the Skins secondary and the Rams win in the E. Jones Dome by 14.
Sunday, Dec. 11 @ Arizona Cardinals, W ( 7-6)
- Skins enter the game knowing they cannot afford another loss. They respond and beat the Cardinals at Arizona by 13 points.
Sunday, Dec. 18 vs. Dallas Cowboys , W ( 8-6)
- The "playoff" games continue for the Skins and they win a close one at FedEx to improve to 8-6.
Saturday, Dec. 24 vs. New York Giants, W (9-6)
- Skins stay alive with a revenge against the Giants. The defense is able to contain Tiki and offense scores + 28. Skins win by 10.
Sunday, Jan. 1 @ Philadelphia Eagles , W (10-6)
- Skins clinch the wild card berth with a good performance against the eagles who have already been eliminated from the playoffs.
Prediction:
Giants win the division at 11-5 and the Skins grab a wild card spot with a 10-6 record.
Absolute MUST WINS : vs. Oakland, @ Arizona
Also we need 3 out of 5: vs. Dallas, vs. NYG, vs. SD, @STL, @PHI
Conclusion: We still have a great shot at the postseason BUT from this point on we have to play tough teams and come up with wins (also on the road). We've already lost three close games on the road and we should have won at least one of those.
Hail Redskins !!

I agree we really need to be Norv this weekend. As for the other games I think we have a shot vs. Diego since it's a home game, but the last game of the season AT Philly is scary. I hope our playoff chances don't come down to that 1 game (although they probably will).

Ok, even though I hate doing this, I'll throw out my $.02
Sunday, Nov. 20 vs. Oakland Raiders
- This game is a "must win" IMO. The team needs to build confidence and not go into a tough game with SD reeling from two straight loses.
Sunday, Nov. 27 vs. San Diego Chargers
- Big game b/c we need to hold home field, but not a must win. I'll be the house making all the noise in the world.
Sunday, Dec. 4 @ St. Louis Rams
- This is a very winable game. The Rams are a better team with Vitt, but we can learn from the defeat against the Bucs. We can improve.
Sunday, Dec. 11 @ Arizona Cardinals
- A big game in terms of we can NOT allow ourselves to lose against a NFC bottom feeder.
Sunday, Dec. 18 vs. Dallas Cowboys
- HUGE GAME!!! Most likely it will be a "must win" in terms of playoff position and I am so ready to be in the house for my first dallass game!
Saturday, Dec. 24 vs. New York Giants
- I am not buying into the Giants winning the division. The winner of tonights game (dallass vs Iggles) will be right there. That said, we must show the last game was a fluke.
Sunday, Jan. 1 @ Philadelphia Eagles
- I think this game could be for the division. Personally, I can't wait for the entire next seven games b/c I really like the omprovements the Skins have made and we need to make even a few more.

3 consequtive division wins is alot to ask. I think our secondary will hold up against the Rams if we get Griffin back getting pressure and Taylor back being Taylor.

Anyone worried that the NFC East will only send 1 team to the playoffs since all the teams are beating up on each other? I just looked at the standings and the NFC South (Carolina, Atlanta and Tampa Bay) is also strong. The other two will probably only send 1 team each. Anyway, just wanted to point that out.

Well, if it comes down to it, we now lose tie-breakers against Tampa and probably Carolina(I think common opponents comes into play and they beat Tampa.)

Keep in mind in that division, Carolina and Atlanta still play each other twice. As much as we beat our opponents up except to see the same thing from that division. All there records look nice now, give it 4 or 5 weeks and it won't be as pretty.
As for seeing Tampa Bay in a wildcard spot, I just don't beleive that will happen.
They have a very very difficult second half of the season.

@New Orleans
@Carolina

New Orleans
Granted New Orleans is up in the air but otherwise...these guys are gonna have a rough road to be 9-7.

Guys, please. One game at a time, okay?
The 'Skins need to get home, regroup, and focus and beating "Thugz 'R Us" from Oakland. Let's see if we can get to 6-4 before anything else...

Wow, end the season off with 3 victories against the NFC East. I'm going to hold you to that, and by-golly I hope you're right.

The Rams are across the country, and Philly is right down the road. I personally think that these games will be reversed, as I think our offense will tear up the Rams and Sean Taylor will be back. With him not in, we are average at best, especially since it seems like Springs plays linebacker now. The Philly game will have playoff implications for somebody. I think the Giants are about to pull a, um, Giants and lose most of the rest of their games.

The only good thing about last week was the Giants lost as well, so we are still only 1 game outta first in our division. They also play a much tougher schedule than we do, so i think we will have a great shot at the division if we can play OUR game and not drop down to our opponents level.
