The question is how will we cover Randy Moss with our CB playing the way they are playing ?? Moss scares the heck out of me.I know one player does not beat you. Also if Sean Springs is the best CB we have.We should have him covering Galloway all day .IMO if you have A shut down cb he should be on the other teams #1 WR.Not Walt Harris.I think it is time for Rogers to start.

The problem is their other receiver is Jerry Porter, who will carve up whoever is out there. I hope to God that Sean Taylor will be back for Sunday's game.

I don't think Springs is a sut down corner, but that is just me. I think he is really solid and has good size so I expect he'll be matched up with Moss most of the day. We absolutely need Taylor back for this one.

Porter as a compliment is inconsistent. He can kill you one second and disappear the next. We need to make some adjustments, but not at the expense of stopping the run because Jordan is a load this season.

I was pretty optomistic about our chances of beating the Raiders, unitl I saw Simms tear through our secondary with mediocore no name recievers. I don't know how we are going to blanket Moss, Porter, and Curry with the poor performance from our DBs. I'm beginning to question GWs defensive scheme on passing plays. He wants to send blitzes from the LBs because our defensive line is too weak to put pressure up front, so that leaves us with the man on man coverage on the recievers. And by golly GW, we are not equiped with the personel to run such a scheme. Our DBs are undissiplined, most not physical, and they do a piss poor job of covering people. Get rid of these burgers such as Walt Harris.

you think we got lit up this game....I watched the redskins postgame show and they were all giddy about the Raiders coming to our house because they are having a LOSING season....

Let me tell you something...

This could possibly be the most points someone has put up on us this whole season....

Collins is no push-over and the fact that our pass rush is non-existent spells DISASTER!.....

Carlos Rogers is not the answer....
We better just hope Sean Taylor is healthy and ready to play this weekend and even that is not the answer..

The answer is a PASS RUSH....

The Raiders are a scary team to play, because you never know what team will show up. They have talent on both sides of the ball. Our best chance is to run, run, run, to control the clock and mix in some play action. We have to jump on them early, if we don't it could be another close game til the end.

I agree with this completely. Even the best cornerbacks can't cover a man if he has 10+ seconds to get open.

Taylor will likely be back but next week will be a tough one either way. We need another big day out of Portis and For Harris to remember how t play the game. I'd really like to see Rogers in the game more nex week its his time.

The raiders are going to face a very angry Redskins defense at the FED.

Randy Moss is not at the top of his game right now because of injuries. I saw him get caught from behind earlier this year. That's something that doesn't happen when he is healthy. Shawn Springs can shut down an 80% healthy Randy Moss. What happens on the other side of the field is a big problem. Either our first draft pick steps up as a cb or Porter has his way. Porter is a very good reciever and he's elusive to tackle. He's also inconsistent. That is the x factor. Collinsd is not afraid to air it out and with the lack of pressure from our D-line, we need our secondary to play it's best to stop them.

The good news is that the Redskins offense is stepping up.

I think we need to get back to controlling the clock.I think we can run wild on the Raiders and keep their offense of the field.Hopefully Sean Taylor is back as I think he would have made just enough differance for us to win.

Not near enough pressure on Simms yesterday. Carolina dominated him and the Bucs cause they were in his face the whole game. We couldn't get to the kid even when we blitzed. Add that, with a sorely missed Sean Taylor, and you get a most untimely breakout game from Simms. It sucks, let's move on and quickly fix the problem.

last time we saw the other moss was the last game of the season and sean taylor had his say. hopefully sean will be back for this one because we need him. i think the redskins will be able to stop lamont jordan so it will be up to the secondary to do their job. the offense should be able to score lots of points on the raiders defense so if anything, it'll be a shootout. btw, raiders fans are sick of kerry collins and are calling for the andrew walters era to begin.

I think, oddly, we have no problem with ANYBODY if we game plan for them, but it just seems they go with opposite of their game plan and torch us that way. So GW, stop focusing so much on one aspect and force a balanced game!

our defense has to show up. last year we overcame injuries, now we need to do the same this year.

Portis had one of his best days as a Redskin against the Bucs and it wasnt enough. the only blessing in disguise that i can find in the fact that we lost even though we scored 35 against the #1 defense, is that now Gibbs must realize that at the end of a game, we have to play to win, rather than play "not to lose", because he can no longer rely on the defense to finish the game for us. next time we are faced with a 3rd and 4 with 2:44 left on the clock, maybe we'll put the game away, instead of forcing a time-out and handing it over to the defense.

Curry is out with an achilles injury. Gabriel is playing well though and that threesome worries me as well. We have to get up on Oakland quickly and force Collins to throw. He made some terrible decisions last week and admitted it. Moss is banged up, but he is still scoring. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some gadget plays from the Raiders early.

I say put Springs on him all game, but I don't think thats our strategy. I'm sure we'll see the nickle package a lot on Sunday, but that leaves us weak in the run defense -- and Jordon is a bid dude. Hopefully Taylor will be back on the field.

Considering that GW had Wilds on Moss a lot last season, I don't see us playing Springs on him 1 on 1. I also don't feel Springs is a shut=-down corner, and I'm not sure that anyone else is either.
