Does anyone see MLB as a team need that could be adressed in the draft.

I really like Abdul Hodge from Iowa he ahs great size and plays like a missile.

Hodge is great in my Madden dynasty too.

I would like to take a good look at MLBs in the draft too. Someone like Hodge would be good, if he is smart enough to handle it. I haven't followed Ahmad Brooks out of UVA this year, but he was projected to be a mid first rounder. HE is very gifted athletically.

MLB is a need since it would be nice to have at least 2 true MLB on the roster.

I really like Hodge as well, but mlb is too important a position to start screwing around with and letting rookies play. I'd rather have continuity and allow Lemar to start for a few more years, and if anything, have a project rookie like McCune who can replace him in a couple of years if need be. Also, to get Hodge the Skins would certainly have to use their 2nd round pick, might even have to trade up to get him. I don't think it's a good use of the pick right now.

I know this is a homer pick but I love Dqwell Jackson from MD. He's undersized but the guy is a tackling machine and can drop back into coverage. I think he would be available in the 4th round or so based on his size, I would love to pick him up then.

Yes. I would say they will probably grab a LB who can play multiple postions though because that seems to be this D's MO.

I think another MLB would be a great addition. Marshall has great flexibility and could then play WLB and some MLB and we could drop Holdman. Jackson is pretty highly ranked according to NFL draft countdown and looks to go early in the 2nd(http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/rankings/ilb.html). Someone like Fred Roach from Alabama would be a good pick up in the 3rd round. While McCune is a MLB I don't think he'll be anything more than a STeamer and backup.

Not too long ago, there was talk about him being our future QB killer.... did i miss something?

Besides, i really do think that we really need a pass rushing DE alot more right now. Lemar Marshall is playing well at MLB. Phillip Daniels and Renaldo Wynn..... not so much.

No one would be happier to see Hodge from Iowa go to the Skins in next year's draft than me, but I have to think that after our struggles with rushing the QB this year that even GW might consider getting a pass rushing DE in the draft next April.

Isn't MLB the reason we drafted McCune last year?

yea in round 2 effective pass rushers that should be available are orien harris (he is like a bigger version of cornelius griffin, just as explosive though) elvis dumerville, kamberion wimbley, dusty dovercek.

I agree I think hes being groomed for this position in the future so i doubt we draft a MLB till late in the draft.

But this is also assuming that he will pan out. I'm not ready to rule him in as a long term solution because he's also a 26 year old rookie. I'm still out looking for a good MLB. If he were going to be ready any time soon, he'd be seeing at least some reps already.

LB is the least of our worries for our active roster with the lack of qaulity depth at DB and WR. We spent a pick on a MLB last year so i seriously doubt we draft one early this year with the need at WR, DB, O-line, D-Line more prominent.

Wasn't it GW that said MLB is the QB of the Defense? Why would we put an inexperienced guy in just to give him reps on the most important position on the field?? That would be like saying we're not grooming Campbell to play QB for us in the future...

QBs need time to sit and learn. He gets his reps in practice.

At least McCune is on the field, even if it's special teams.

I think I will pull all my hair out if the Redskins take a LB anywhere in the next draft.

Every player we draft gets hyped up to be a future hall of famer. He has got the size to scare people, but he might not develop much more b/c of his age.

If we could get Hodge in the second where we pick, he would be a steal. He is a quality player. Could he start for GW early? I dunno. It is a complex D. How smart is Hodge?

DeMeco Ryans out of Alabama is an academic All-American as well as the normal variety. he has a 3.7 GPA is a real major. I would look long and hard at him if we were targeting a LB. He plays the Sam at Alabama but is the same size as Hodge and at least as fast.

I don't know the whole draft story, but I can't imagine ryans will still be around for us. mark anderson, though, bama's pass rushing de, might still be around.

I understand that much, but it seemed to me like we were hyping him up more than BOTH our 1st round picks. I still think that we shouldnt forget about how physically gifted he is. And if you still think we need a MLB MORE than a DE, lets look at what Phillip Daniels and Renaldo Wynn have done for us....

I dont think u can judge the Campbell decision until he actually takes a snap in a NFL game.
