Very good article by John Clayton about the fall from grace of the Superbowl losers of the last 5 years. The Eagles sold their football soul when they signed Owens but they fell short by not winning the Superbowl.

Something tells me they (the Iggles) will be back next season when they are free from the distractions that come with TO.

Especially with a healthy McNabb and a top 15 pick like it looks like they will get.

Do you think the Eagles will know what to do with such a high pick? They haven't had one in ages, have they?

Actually they have...by always having so many high-round picks, last year they packaged their 1st and one of their 2nd rounders to move up to #16 and get Shawn Andrews, their load of a OG, who was out his entire rookie year w/an injury, but has played, and not all that well apparently, this season. (I get inundated with Eagles crap living up here, it really sucks.... )

The funny thing is that TO should have NEVER landed in Philly, and the funny part of the whole situation is the SAME Arbitrator (who happens to hold a REDSKINS Season Ticket) is going to be the very same one is going to hear out TO's appeal about the 4 Game Suspension Without Pay.
So I am laffing at the bad luck of the Eagles.
HA! HA! HA!

They also traded up to take the DE out of Miami... McDougle. Corey Simon and McNabb were both top 5 I believe. Freddie Mitchell was taken just after Rod Gardner (mid rounder).
I was talking about the whole TO thing with some Iggle fan friends, and my theory from the VERY start when they signed him was "Sleeping with the hottest chick in the bar isn't a big win if you wake up with an STD." That is in essence what the Iggles did IMO.
