It looks like once again Russ Grimm and Art Monk are semifinalist for the HOF. Are they gonna make it? I doubt it because its a tough class w/Reggie White and Troy Aikman leading the field. We'll see.

Other modern-era semifinalists are linebackers Harry Carson, Randy Gradishar and Derrick Thomas; center Dermontti Dawson; running back Thurman Thomas; wide receivers Michael Irvin, Andre Reed and Art Monk; defensive ends Fred Dean, Richard Dent, L.C. Greenwood and Claude Humphrey; quarterbacks Warren Moon and Ken Stabler; guards Russ Grimm and Bob Kuechenberg; offensive tackle Gary Zimmerman; cornerbacks Lester Hayes and Roger Wehrli; punter Ray Guy; club owners Art Modell and Ralph Wilson, Jr., and administrator George Young.

They sure better get in. Both of those guys were great for so many years on great teams.

I know you posted this with the intention of talking about skins. We all know Russ and Art are deserving. But it's an absolute sham that Harry Carson and Ray Guy aren't in there as well. How in the world did Dan Hampton make it in before Richard Dent? Ok thats the last of my lobbying for non-skins.

Nope the Skins alumnus will get it up to the elbow again.

OUr players will never make it because they are sabotaged by guys like Peter King and Paul Zimmerman. Death to them. The HOF has no meaning if guys like Art Monk are left out of it.

Here's my prediction: Monk won't make it, but alarmingly Irvin will. It's freakin' sad, so I'm going to try and ignore the whole HOF process until Monk gets in. To me, the HOF has no legitimacy until that and a few other things happen.

It's that time of year, again:

The annual Art Monk Gets Bent Over By Peter King Festival. Yea!!!

Yawn. I can't even exhaust my hopes that the committee won't botch this omitance another year. If Monk doesn't get in, which I am assuming he won't, Irvin and Reed sure as heck better not. Looks like Aikman and Reggie White already have 2 of the spots locked.

I couldn't agree more. I too fear that they will induct Irvin this year so he can go in w/ Troy.
